    Re: **mkharsh33 NHL12 PRO SLIDERS**

Because of the Pro level, the cpu is given some boosts, but I believe they are necessary to maintain the challenge at this level. Personally I am tired of what I'm seeing at the higher difficulty levels and believe many video games are played in their purest form at the lower levels.

I've seen the start stand out, goalie animations are quite amazing at times, and these provide a great amount of different types of games. Don't let the pro level fool you.

If you are finding these are too easy for you, then there's no doubt you're a much better player than I am and don't belong at this level. But this year I want to avoid the frustrations of the higher levels and I plan to purchase this game (in spite of all the issues) because of ONE reason: I LOVE hockey!!!

Hope you enjoy these! Feedback welcome and appreciated...

Just curious, did these sliders make the game playable for you?

Not trying to be an *** by saying that, just wondering if the sliders made the game better for someone who was pretty disappointed with the demo.

I'll try these tonight. I'm curious about the "boosts" you mention though for PRO. That's all I've been playing on with this game and have yet to see any type of boosts. I thought that was pretty much All Star and up.

I believe he was saying that he gave the CPU some boosts with these sliders because of the ease of playing on Pro.

Anyways, I'm still working on my set, but I agree that it just feels more natural on pro (goalies especially). Just tough to find a balance where the CPU can challenge more.

MK I'm really interested in trying these out. I normally play on All Star or Superstar but I want to see how these play out with the attribute and difficulty sliders maxed out to see if it gives me a challenge. I know you love to base sliders off of the lower difficulties for every game you play. In fact I've used your NCAA and Madden sliders before and they have played really well on the pro level.

As of right now I'm just kind of messing around with the game to get a feel for it. I want to see which level plays the best. At times with All Star and Superstar goofy stuff tends to happen.

              Re: **mkharsh33 NHL12 PRO SLIDERS**

By "boost" I mean the cpu needs the added slider advantages. The reason I don't like the higher levels is because of the "cheat" factor (or whatever term is used). I never feel cheated at the Pro level. I lost a game 6-0...won 4-1...lost 2-0...lost 3-2...won 4-2. So a good variety. One problem you may find is the cpu's offensive zone time might be low...BUT, I LOVE the way they look for the long pass and hit guys at the blue line. You have to be willing to concede some stuff, but the shot totals are very sound.

(and in my 2nd post I meant the "stars" stand out quite well with this set.)

                Re: **mkharsh33 NHL12 PRO SLIDERS**

Tried these out. Only had one game so can't really give a "yay" or "nay". But, so far I like them. What I did, and usually do when testing sliders, is I have a great team against a bad team. In this case, I was Florida playing Pittsburgh.

They won 3 -1, which was a nice change because I won every game on PRO with other sliders. Also, I didn't really feel like there was a "boost" because of the CPU difficulty maxed. If anything, I think it leveled out the playing field, yet kept the human factor involved.

Tomorrow, I'll reverse the teams and play as Pittsburgh. It's a good test to see how the teams play. Theoretically, Pitt should dominate. Now, there are games where the "lesser" team wins, but I think you'll still get a good feel for it. (Or as some did the past years for testing, play Canada vs Japan. Change off teams.)

                Anyway, good start with these.

                  So we meet again..

I will try these out. I'm currently playing on All-Star and I'm having great games, but when I see you post a slider set I just can't resist.

                  e. I'm afraid Pro just doesn't work for me. I played as the Isles against the Blues and I had a 5-0 lead early in the 2nd.

I hope as many as possible can enjoy these sliders though!

PS. I know 1 period is not nearly enough to fully experience a slider set, but it was just way too easy for me. I think you understand.

I'll probably check these out. I'm not a very good video game player so Pro is going to have to be the way to go for me. We'll see what happens.

Don't forget that it also will depend on the teams you are playing. My goal is to have sliders that don't affect the team ratings. In other words, I don't a team like Japan dominating Team USA or Canada. It just wouldn't happen. Some slider adjustments you make, will do just this, which isn't good.

Played one game so far. No way is that enough to see the sliders in action. The only suggestion after one game is to turn down User goalie a notch, but I'm not doing that until I've played at least 5 games.

I played Wings @ Wild (me). I won 3-1 with an empty netter. They probably should have won but Backstrom played amazing. From what I saw in the first game team ratings played a big factor. They were faster than me but not to the point where it was unfair. The sliders for skating seem pretty good where they are at. Plus lets face it, the Wings are a speedier and much more talented team then the Wild from line 2 through line 4. Line 1, I would give the Wings the slight edge but only because of Datsyuk. My top line was Koivu centering Seto and Heatley. Heatley niped home the 2nd goal. Pretty sweet shot. So far in my 10 or 15 games combining the season ticket and full disc version I've played pretty well with Seto and Heatley. I'm excited to see what I can do in Be A GM.

Played one game with the BaP goalie mode.

Victoriaville Tigres 4 (CPU) - Quebec Remparts 2 (Me)
                          Shots : 30 - 20
                          Hits : 10-2
                          TOA : 5:58 - 6:21
                          Passing % : 65 - 73

I gave 2 goals while trying to push the guy in front of me and the unable to make it in time after that to block the shot. The other two we're on a nice tape to tape pass for one, and on the last goal, there was simply too much traffic in front and I lost sight of the puck.

These sliders seems to be just fair for me as a goalie. I'm not great but I can hold my ground. Not to get anything away from the sliders, but the AI programming is making a huge difference in NHL 12.

I didn't saw these uggly moments of last year with D skating until they are in my face neither seen a D pinning himself on the board. I saw the D backing up a bit, but it happened one time. Most time, my D we're making plays, and if they had pressure, made some dumb play, but it's normal.

What I like about the sliders is that the best players on each side we're the ones making the Oh's and Ah's when making moves. The first line of the Tigres we're making nice plays, making me move from post to post often.

I'll start another BaP as a D and F to see how they work.

How are you guys finding shot totals on Pro? It's the biggest hurdle I'm working on at the moment. No matter the match up it seems I'm doubling the CPU in shots and time on attack...

All you have to do to make it more challenging at this level is start increasing certain sliders that impact puck control for the cpu. again, this is PRO level - you have to know going into this level that if you need a challenge you will NOT find it here. but i'm tired of playing on higher levels with built-in cpu cheats in place - i'd rather play it at this level. it may not be for a number of people here, but i'm really enjoying the games i've played.
