For me. Officially now it is Madden 12.

It was 2005.

This game is better. Yeah some features from 2005 in chise mode are not there but this years chise is very deep and playable.

No contest anymore.

I think this year is probably the best in regards to single player against the CPU. Playing head-to-head, the last generation was still much more fun for human-vs-human... mainly in person on the same console... As broadband internet latency and the online coding back then weren't nearly as polished and made online play a bit of a crapshoot.

I just got the game last night. I think its the best madden ever. I'm still in the honeymoon period however.

I cant beleive Im going to say, but I think last years was better.

Only because this years game has:

-Bugged franchise mode weather. WAY to much rain... and there is NEVER SNOW
-Bugged commentary.
-The fact that fake UDFA's take over the league in franchise mode. At the expense of real and/or drafted players with higher OVR ratings being cut.


These 3 things RUIN franchise mode. At least last year there were no fake UDFA's, there was snow, and the announcers said more than just guys numbers over and over.

Ugg, what a shame, lets hope they can patch this mess of a franchise mode in M12.

Completely agree...Reason #3 is my biggest issue.....The UDFA concept should not have been implemented until after the first year of a franchise...I'm skeptical on EA creating a patch for this and even if they do, it prolly wont be for a while so we gunna have to either deal with it as is or not start a franchise (which i haven't yet)....

Yes. If these three issues are fixed then M12 will be a GREAT game.

yes considering the build is older and theyre adding layers of code.

the issues are troublesome but the biggest is the udfa's and there are multiple fixes for that.

as for commentary i take it with a grain of salt and laugh at their "goofs" all while praying for better commentary.

im not a fan of 2k5 but at least the commentary was good and they said almost every name i could create in game.

Madden 10 for me post patches all of the new innovation pro tak, the extra point seemed like more effort to me
