What Is Your Favorite NBA 2K of All-Time?

I have been thinking lately of all the NBA 2K games, and how far we've come. To be honest, I started playing the NBA 2K series when 2K7 came out, so I can't speak on any of the games before that.

I want to know what yall's favorite NBA 2K game is. There are so many great ones, but you can only pick one. I am leaving NBA 2K12 out of this vote, obviously, because it isn't out yet. If this thread is still active by the time of its release date, I'll add it to the poll.

Personally, NBA 2K10 is my favorite NBA 2K game of all-time. I don't know why, but the soundtrack gives me chills whenever I listen to it. Sometimes I would load up the game just to hear the soundtrack when I wasn't in the mood to play.

I also love it because it is the originator of the fan-favorite mode, My Player.



I love the cover too. It's the last NBA 2K game with an active player as the cover, and come on, how can you not like this?



I love the menus as well. The black with the light blue looked so sharp. They also had a brand new style to them with the blocks.



NBA 2K10 also introduced to us the brand new NBA Today mode.



I bet yall remember the NBA 2K10 Draft Combine as well. It was released before the actual game as DLC. It was very fun and held us off to the game. It also got us to know what MyPlayer would be like. It was a "warm-up," if you will.



I also loved the scoreboard.



NBA 2K10 was critically acclaimed, with an average of 82/100 rating from all the video-game review sites.



NBA 2K10, in my opinion, also delivered us some of the best trailers by a sports game ever.

All of these reasons are what makes NBA 2K10 my favorite NBA 2K game of all time. What is yours?

This is tough because overall I enjoyed NBA 2K8 more but, I never had more fun with a basketball game then playing team up in NBA 2K9 with some boys.

I didn't really like 2K10 that much. I thought Live 10 was a better game.

Personally, 2K11 is my favorite NBA 2K and it's not even close. That will probably change on October 4th, though.

nba 2k6 because is was the first (and only) year i did a 82 games season... i also liked nba2k2 because it was the first year i was introduced to the series

NBA 2K10 was decent. A lot of people bashed it but I thought it was pretty good. The only thing that really sucked about it was online, and also the lack of defense in the paint.

But my fav 2K without a doubt is 2K11. I had no real interest in 2K11....until i saw the momentus trailer with Jordan. OMG.

I've been playing video games since the early 90's and there is NO game that has EVER gotten me as hyped as I was for 2K11. I honestly felt like a kid waiting for Christmas during the few weeks leading up to 2K11's release.

The amount of changes they made to gameplay just had me in total shock. The Jordan stuff was cool, but was more like icing on the cake for me. The gameplay was the fluffy chocolaty goodness IMO. 2K did such an excellent job with their marketing campaign that year. Every single day I would jump online hoping for the slightest bit of news about 2K11. The trailers, Czar's 10 team 10 days, all of the insights...everything about that marketing campaign made me feel like a kid awaiting Christmas again.

As of now, 2K11 is my favorite video game...period.

2k8... mainly because of the Warriors. Playing Nelly ball was very fun on 2k8. Haven't been able to capture that type of style since.

You know what? I read this all wrong. Didn't even pay attention long enough to realize 2k11 was an option, I was thinking 'back in the day' 2k. 2k11 is my favorite, hands down (man down)

So no love to Espn Basketball I got the only vote, man 2k4 was so dope. My cousin and I used to go at it, the graphics were so realistic back then, then I would come home and put Live in and just dream about 2k4. 24/7 the (my player mode for you youngsta) it was so cool if you took a couple of days off your attributes would decrease. Isomotion was so tough too, I think that was the first 2k to have isomotion. Please I dont want to be the only 2k4 voter.That game helped me get off of NBA LIVE, it saved my life.......

2k11 is the best 2k but 2k4 was my favorite, because I realized how fun 2k was.

i played 2K9 more than any other game, but i think 2K10 made the biggest leap of any game. a lot of the stuff didn't work too well (they probably bit off more than they could chew under the time constraints), but the effort was there

I agree with the op there is something about 2k10, I feel like they paid more attention to offline association in that game, so it's my favorite, they gave you scores from around your league in association, the announcers talked about the games and not some commercial that is in between quarters in 2k11, felt really like you could play the association for years, which I do plus the players seemed bigger, while 2k11 is great I felt like the court and the players got smaller IMHO, and the presentation took a slight dip from 2k10, but 2k11 is a close second for me

So, someone actually voted for 2K4...to each their own. 2K4, for me, is the WORST basketball game 2K ever created. The best thing about this game was the cover (front and back). If they sold the box empty, it would worth the same as with the game inside.

2K4 = 2K's Elite (and not in a good way).

I was a kid If i played it now i would probably agree with you, but the game got me to stop playing live, which is why i voted for it.
