Week 2: Green Bay Packers @ Carolina Panthers

1PM Start time for this one.

This has the makings of a trap game for the Pack and I just got a weird feeling about this game. Not a nervous feeling but just a strange feeling about this one compared to last week vs. the Saints.

I hope we don't go overlooking the Panthers this week, especially with Chicago next afterwards but one thing McCarthy has been pretty good with so far is having this team focused on the task at hand and not looking ahead.

That being said, $Cam Newton better not have a repeat performance against us like he did against the Cardinals and if he does, those numbers better be accrued in garbage time.

Eh, no Mike Neal for several weeks, and then someone needs to pick up the pass rush other than Matthews.

I think Pack wins this one, but the Panthers will keep it close.

We should be able to run it up the middle with Beason gone and they are weak on DL in the middle.

I don't see this one being very close. While Cam looked great last week, I don't have faith in him against a very good defense. I think GB will sell out to stop the run like Arizona did, but they'll be better in coverage.

The Panther defense will be in big trouble without Beason. Green Bay should be able to do whatever they want and put up numbers similar to week 1, maybe better.

I expect we'll see more flashes of brilliance from Cam Newton....just not in the first half. I believe the score will be somewhere around 20 - 7 by halftime. Then we start to see Killah Cam lead a comeback.

If this happens. Remember I called it here .

Without Beason I don't see how they last. If Tramon doesn't play then maybe they keep it close but, this definitely doesn't seem like a trap game.

I'm more concerned with our Run D than our Pass D in this one. I'm really confident that our Pass Defense rebounds in this one.

I feel like the Packers win this one, but I can see trap potential as well. I think I'll save Green Bay for their home game vs the Broncos in the survivor pool at least.

I'm more interested on what the people who hyped him up so much after Sunday's game say when he throws for 158 yards and 3 INTs.

I mean, some were even comparing him to Randal Cunningham and a Mike Vick/Brett Favre hybrid. After only one game as well. Crazy...

I see the Packers winning this easily. This will be his first game against a real NFL defense, not like our miserable effort last week

The defense actually didn't play terrible. They had 2 blown coverages that went for TDs and the special teams gave up a TD. I'll chalk the blown coverages up to lack of off-season workouts.

I think the defense will get gashed this game, but I think they'll play much better throughout the rest of the season.

I don't care how good Cam Newton is, he's not going to be able to keep up with Aaron Rodgers and the Packer offense. Dude is en fuego right now.

Green Bay should be able to run the ball effectively against the Panthers' D, and they should be able to spread them out as well.

                              Packers should win easily.

And I expect Finley to have a huge game.
