I personally am quite pissed with the update since it deleted my playbook. Other than that though the update seems good, and will improve the game.

Though they did mess up the playbooks. Can't remove certain formations, and cannot go below a certain play count.

I'm not hating it, since playing with it the game play much better, and to note I see dirty unis in first quarter and much more Throughout the i see more tackling animations, I think this game animations with patch 2 are better then what madden was offering this year in that department.

I've noticed the no huddle is pretty much garbage. I used to run it quite often, now when I run it, the game automatically makes me choose the first formation (if you choose no huddle with Ace it automatically forces you to use Ace - Big). Not sure why it does this.

Defense seems nonexistant now. I played Nebraska @ Boise State and dropped 49 on them. I uninstalled the patch, this time played Nebraska @ home against Boise, and scored 20. There was a noticeable difference in zone coverage and pass rush.

The game plays great now, except for the broken no-huddle and the occasional superman linebacker. EA should make their patches like Eutechnyx, where they try to get every little bug in the game, even if it takes them ages to finally get the patch released.

The game plays great now except for.....almost every phase of the game.
-did you notice CPBs are still jacked up just in a new and sillier way
-HUNH offense is an awful new glitch
-Defense against the CPU running HUNH is even more awful
-Option blocking??? EA improved it by making defenders (DBs) stand around like tee ballers piling dirt in their gloves instead actually reacting to the play at all.
-DBs are all still mind readers and catch way better than WRs
-Offensive line play is awful ...without suction blocking we see how awful it really is with way too much pressure up the middle and not enough off the edge in pass blocking and frequent play busting wiffs in the run game
-CPU backside pursuit is still way too effective on some plays and absent on others but the CPU never overpursues
-The Game still freezes up at random
-etc....

One thing that has recently helped me reduce the amount of freezing, and I had forgotten this has been the case with most EA Sports games, has been to start the console without a disc in it and then put in the NCAA 12 disc to play. Take it out and power down when done. Rinse, repeat.

greatest football game of all time before the patch...but the patch made it even better imo

I dont understand the complaints at all except for the no huddle issues

One thing that has recently helped me reduce the amount of freezing, and I had forgotten this has been the case with most EA Sports games, has been to start the console without a disc in it and then put in the NCAA 12 disc to play. Take it out and power down when done. Rinse, repeat.

I'll try that....Thanks. These mandatory workarounds remind me that I have not had this freezing issue with NCAA09, 10 or 11 just this latest iteration is the one that freezes up frequently and at random, to go along with all the other stuff that doesn't work.

Little help please:

Did EA ever say what the procedure was to make the patch 2 work with custom rosters? Or were those instructions coming from the community? Nothing on their blog.

My patch 2 seems to be doing nothing at the moment.

Is this right?

1. Download rosters from locker (OK, I am using mustangs84)

2. Delete patch (NOTE: you do so by going into your game in your hard drive memory and delete the title #2 update - you can no longer just clear cache to remove title updates).

3. Go into game without downloading the patch.

4. Save previously downloaded rosters as a new file with a new name (I named them "rosters"). Delete the original rosters file.

5. Exit and quit game.

6. Download patch and the roster tendencies will now work

When people say download patch 2, do they mean simply allow it next time you log in? Or do you have to get it yourself from EA servers?

What am I missing here, I'm still in mid-August for some reason. It seemed to work for a while. Thanks.
