EA Please fix AI field goal logic on Heisman

The AI repeatedly attempts 60 yard field goals that it can't make. It destroys field position. On All-American, the logic is perfect. Please tune or patch the Heisman logic to be the same as All-American. Thanks.

UUmmm......I thought they said they fixed that in the LAST patch. It is semi fixed though. They don't attempt as many as they did pre-patch. Pre-patch they were attempting it damn near every possession.

I second this. I've only played the game post patch 2, and they try 60+ yard field goals too much.

I agree this needs to be fixed and I see it just as much now vs. pre patch. I dont have a problem with a kicker with a really high kick power to try a 60yd field goal occassionally but just last night for example I had a kicker with a kick power of 86 try from the 44 (61 yd fg) and it fell at least 10 yds short. Im really enjoying the game but this does indeed drive me nuts.

I have not played much since patch two but I remeber pre patch that when in the red zone on my road to glory they didn;t even try half the time for field goals and that was in the red zone. My problem with it though was that even in the red zone when they would punt some how they would get a 50 yard punt even though there wasan;t 50 yards to punt.. this years ncaa game has some major problems.

I'm having this same problem. I've switched to some Heisman sliders and the CPU just kills themselves trying Field Goals from dang near the 50 yd line...

Just catch the ball and dive at 20 to simulate punt...all you can really do...

Doesn't that count as a turnover if you catch the punt? I think you'll lead the nation in turnover margin if you catch the misses, but you are right, its all you can do. The thing that kills me is that the logic is there on one level and not the other. The programming is already done.

right after the play end, change the level to all american.

This should absolutely be fixed. It's just bizzare.

Even then, I did have one insane CPU kicker almost hit a 70 yarder on me thanks to backwind. I couldn't return it.

Fix this, I am using the FG block return method but I took one to the house using this and felt like I was cheating

Yeah, just played a game and the computer went for a 57-yard field goal on 4th and 3. I try to pretend it's just a bad punt when the computer does that.

The only real option is to run it back to the 20 and duck out of bounds. Cheezy. Unfortunately, sometimes the AI will kick it just deep enough to get out of the endzone on the 67 yard FG tries. SMH. WHo tests this stuff? I play 3 games on Heisman and I realize the clock runs on caught incomplete passes caught out of bounds, too few fumbles, and this FG glitch.

I found the solution then. I play on AA and don't see any of this. I see a reasonable number of fumbles, no 60+ yard field goal attempts, let alone 50+ by kickers who have no business kicking them, clock stops as it should.
