How are you getting the short end of the stick? It's free and they don't have to release a demo at all.

I understand it could be more but as I said, it is what it is. Soon enough we'll all be playing 2K12 and no one will remember this topic.

The CPU D wade just crossed over drove then stepped back to hit the open shot. I felt defenseless but it felt great. Lol

lebron did the same to me, it felt good since it's never happened to me in a basketball game before at least from the AI

I will say though that certain faces, in particular Chris Bosh's, seem to have taken a bit of step back, which is customary I suppose.

There are definitely some generalizations being thrown around..

People aren't complaining about the gameplay of the demo, they are preaching that it should have more content.. there is nothing wrong with that.. almost every other demo out there has a lot more to offer compared to NBA 2k ones..

For those saying that people complained about FIFA.. I was so happy about the amount of content they gave, and the gameplay didn't feel short at all for a sports game demo.. 6 minutes total, replay options, menus, restart option, statistics, substitutions, camera options, freestyle dribbling/shooting - I'm surprised people will complain about something like this..

If you compare the 2k demo to other sports gaming demos, you should realize you're getting the short end of the stick here.. that's the gripe

Anyhow, it's not worth discussing anymore because they won't change it now regardless

PES 12 gave you 20 minutes...not to mention 8 teams....

On topic: I like the fact that if you try to suffocate Wade's space he'll just blow right by you. I have to play smarter SMH.

Which only proves the point I was making. It doesn't matter how much you put in the demo. There will always be a group of consumers that will believe that its not enough.

Also in all the time I've been playing this morning, Caron is the only one who's gotten hurt and he's been hurt 3 times. Note to self: Don't choose Mavs for Association.

He looks awful actually. They should have just kept his 2k11 face.

Another guy is Haslem, dude's face is much lighter than the rest of his body.

Wade looks the same. They changed caron slightly. Dirk is much better.

Only read the first 10 pages so I don't know if this has been mentioned yet but has anybody else noticed the commercial in the corner before FT's? It's definitely a nice touch and adds to the overall presentation of the game.

Also, I'm starting to see what Da Czar meant about the computer faking you out. I've already had a play where Wade faked me out and dunked on my team.

^ A bar has to be set in this regard imo, to each their own I suppose.. but there has to be a benchmark for demos.. this is why I say in comparison to other demos, the content in 2k12 is far too little..

This thread is about impressions, yet you sit here complaining more about what the game isn't than about what it is. To me is complaining just to complain. Especially when you down the demo badly then try to sugar coat it with a "Despite its glaring flaws, I'm still enjoying the demo, 2k guy."

I just encountered a bug:

I was called with a blocking foul when attempting to take charge on Lebron during fastbreak, he was able to attempt a layup but missed it. But the referees only gave him 1 FT attempt.

1. pregame presentation is worth not skipping pass
2. posting up is the best i have ever seen...very smooth and the transition into n out of it makes u feel so much in control
3. shimmy shakes are balanced off by abusing it causes u to travel....wow
4. backing down aggressively with dirk on d-wade resulting in him timing me and stealing my ball for a fast break at the other end
5. contact shots in the paint are so beautiful and responsive to the momentum of both the defender and ball handler
6. so far all animations can be broken out of seamlessly
7. players have weight and responsiveness to their weight class and ability
8. harder to recover from a block attempt to another block attempt
9. blocking is much more rewarding in terms of feeling and the look of it....ball reacts and bounce off players and body parts...shooter reacts to ball being blocked with an animation that adds a real life element to it
10. players(dirk) celebrated to buzzer beating shots
11. change shot animations in mid air (from dunk or layups) once again regains its usefulness
12. triple treat positions gives a whole lot more options to attack a defender or try to score
13. not once did i saw spider like arms on defense with the telepathic ability
14. tried it a lot and could cheese the cpu with lead passing in the paint
15. getting ur arms up in the paint really do avoid fouls and and if ur the last defender not to jump or displace urself by leaving ur feet for easier attempts at the basket
16. forced shot really do feel forced as u react to collision and change shot animations
17. explosive players like wade gains respect with first step lot of time am forced to sag off
18. OMG standing alley hoops are the best i got one with kid to chandler in the paint for a two hand dunk over a switch defender in chalmers
19. back pedaling on defense is a very welcoming addition helps u not to retreat to the paint but to do what all coaches tell u to do when stopping the break....focus early on the man with the ball

this game is gonna win many awards probably including a new sales record and am gonna be apart of that statistics

Xbox Silver accounts have to wait a week before they can download new demo's. It sucks but I guess Microsoft wanted to give an extra incentive to Gold users.
