I felt the exact same way. Noticeably sluggish. Almost thought I was imagining it. LOL. Can't even play the demo is def not the final to me anyway.

Some thoughts:

Post game looks so much nicer. My MyPlayer last year was a PF and I came to master the post, so I was really looking forward to seeing what they did with it. What I like about this version is how much more fluid it all is. Faster entry. Can take the post left or right. Nice. Will have to relearn all the controls, unfortunately, but I see that as a good thing: more challenge = more replayability. Biggest change? You have to hold your post shots until release. You can't just be in the post, flick, and be done with it. Takes some getting used to.

Since when did Lebron James become such a crazy 3-point shooter? Seriously, he's scoring most of his points against me in the demo from the perimeter. It's annoying. On a related note, it's sad to see the ridiculous run-out-to-the-3-point-line-quickly-turn-around-fade-shot is not only back, but hits with disappointing consistency. This is all the more annoying when it happens about 6 feet beyond the arc. When it happens, I'm like, "sweet, what a terrible shot." But then it goes in. URGH!

Am I the only one here who thinks that, despite all the significant advancements made "under the hood" and to gameplay in general, (of which there are many. don't get me wrong it plays awesome, and without doubt it seems like a MASSIVE upgrade from 2k11) that it actually looks and feels a bit more video-gamey than 2k11? I can't quite put my finger on what it is...Perhaps the players are too big?? I dunno. Definitely I think it plays a bit fast, and will likely use a slider to bring that down a touch.

New Isomotion = pure gold. Pure. Gold.

Final thoughts: I can't believe, overall, the difference in the look and feel of this game compared to 2k11. Mostly what I can't believe is that all these changes were made in a year. Puts to shame other annualized games. 2k12 vs. 2k11 is much greater leap than was 2k11 vs. 2k10, despite how good 2k11 was. Amazing.

Real freaking talk the graphics SUCK i can't complain about gameplay but the graphics are terrible idk about 360 but ps3 i can without a doubt say that

Already making plans for next week/weekend. Search my resources for a copy so I won't have to leave the comforts of my home. If no luck, fill up the VW Passat and hopefully make the drive to my Northern Ohio spots.

THIS DEMO IS SICK!!! Can only imagine what the retail version will be

you are either a troll, or you need to adjust your television...if you can't see that the ps3 2k12 looks way better than 2k11 did, then you have some problems...player models are all improved, and there are virtually no jaggies...to say the graphics "suck" is just crazy talk.

The couple of weeks it will take for my copy to arrive here will be torture. I might just leave OS until it does arrive, as I don't wanna see everybody raving about 2K12 while I'm stuck waiting.

I know I'll probably be too curious to actually stay away from the forums, though.

yeah...i thought i was the only one who noticed the delay of the passing animations...i never noticed this delay in 2k11, but it's definitely in the demo...i'm praying it's not in the retail version.

So you don't have a problem with Chris bosh looking like a monkey or players looking unrealistic? I can already tell your the type that defends 2k even when they mess up smh

So for the "NBA 2k12" Promo that shows up in the demo, how many different animations have you seen? I've seen 2 so far.

Edit: Only 2 so far. I'm not sure why I thought the other one was new too.

Pro tip: Kidd has two sets of size up moves. One when he's close to his defender, and another when he's farther away from the defender, standing in a more erect stance.

chris bosh looks like a monkey in real life, bro...so 2k nailed him perfectly...people forget how ugly some players are in real life...then when they look ugly in the game, people complain...even though the game version looks just like the real guy.

here's the thing...there are ugly people in real life, so there should be ugly people in video games.
