The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
They have the push ahead which is great but after that they still have that dribble which is at their side and it slows them down Still gunna get the game for sure.

yeah you can. 2k7 after sliders/adjustments played a great sim game... still does. And guess what? when I imput something on my controller, it happens.
Well I guess you can go edit 2k7 rosters and create missing players for the ultimate sim... The reason you can do what you want at the drop of a dime in 2k7 is because there is little to no momentum in that game.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

In real life, one of Dirk's go to moves seems to be starting off driving one way and then spinning back the other way, and sometimes even spinning back again before shooting.
Is there a way to do this in 2k12? I was hoping you could start a "Drive to Key" thing and then trigger a post spin move but it seems that once you start the drive, your controls then go back to isomotion instead of post moves.
Also, last year, you could post up and then fake a turn around fadeaway and then your player would swing his foot back around and you could basically do a fadeaway pump fake, come back, and then actually go up with the turnaround fadeaway. I loved doing that move in 2k11, but it doesn't seem that you can do that anymore. Any tips?
And lastly, I was hoping you could trigger an up-and-under, but instead of stepping through, step back for a fadeaway jumper, but it doesn't appear that you can do that.
You can interrupt a drive and spin jumper the other way. I've been doing the post, drive, repost, drive to spin fadeaway with Dirk. It of course looks best going back over his right shoulder for the one legged fade.
I'm just asking for that ability. It opens things up. See an unguarded big man with a path to the hoop? Take control of him immediately, run to the basket, and call for an alley oop. See a slasher unguarded? Take control of him immediately, run to the lane, call for the ball for an easy layup. Nothing going on? Take control of a shooter, call for a pick, get open for an easy jumper. My favorite feature of any basketball game ever.
Oh yeah I see what you mean. Since plays set up situations like that anyway maybe 2K just never thought about it.

I'm really loving this gameplay, but in my opinion, the art team really failed on some players, dirk looks horrid in this game, other players are off too like rondo from the celtic video, hope its just a demo thing cause it really sucks, well i for sure will be dropping my xbox preorder and just go with pc for mods...

I lost hope a couple years ago that a white dude's hair will ever be anything more than a plastic helmet.

I had the same problem. When you sprint you have to hold down the sprint button down until after the push ahead animation is done. If you do it before than it goes into the half spin animation.
