My opinion but after playing the demo and hearing from the Czar and Dustin that the retail version will be much better I think this game will be the barometer which all other sports games will be measured by. They are going to set the bar and set it high. What do you think? all I know is I haven't had this much fun playing a sports game since Tecmo Super Bowl!

I agree with the OP though. I would even say that, at the moment, 2K11 is the standard for all basketball games. I think The Show has the title for all sports, but 2K12 will challenge and probably surpass it.

I completely disagree. NBA 2k is the standard for all sports games. I can't give that to the show, because fun factor alone, NBA 2k has it beat. The NBA 2day feature is amazing and the commentary is #1. NBA2k has it all.

I think NBA2K11 is already the bar that other games will be judged on. It will even be tough for 2K to beat it with the 2K12 game.

Thank you. I truly believe this will be the game that solidifies 2K Sports as the perennial video game developer. This is the game that is keeping the 2K Sports label alive and may be the game which makes NFL 2k's return one day possible.

I think the show is the judge for sports games in terms of presentation & not gameplay. Baseball is not contact, football & basketball both are. It's easier to make a top sports games when the players never really have contact with one another. In other sports, you'll see contact at all times, and that's harder to represent. I agree with OP.

Great points. With contact sports you have to take so many variables into account and the programming that goes into that is a lot more intensive. Only the cream of the crop developers could ever dream of making a game of this quality.

I think that may depend on if you're a bigger baseball or basketball fan. Do you like the sport of baseball more than basketball? Otherwise that may be a little biased. I'm actually the biggest basketball fan, but I just felt as though The Show had a little more polish. It's close IMO though. Again...I believe 2K12 will make that jump.
