Hows Everyones BAP gong?

I started one through the CHL route. Picked a Offensive minded Defender and having some fun with it, hanging around the blue line while the play goes on and sometimes sneaking down when a hole opens for a quick one timer.

Hows everyone elses going?

I`m having my doubts about the sim engine.....especially with the rest of this games issues.

I`d be expecting to hear sprockets and gears flying apart soon.

As am I. I've stopped playing BAP for now, but the 9 games I played (LW-TWF-Tri City (WHL) - Superstar) were very lacking on the sim portion. Of the roughly 45 goals scored through 9 games, a whopping 4 of them have occurred during a sim portion when I was NOT on the ice.

My BAP is going well. I started in the CHL and I've played about 12 games. It's very fun and the new physics and such add a lot of realism. One thing that is fixed that I love is coming and going from the bench. I love it.

Sim seems fine to me. Started a 2WF LW in the WHL (Everett Silvertips). Played first 25 games. Had about 70 points. Simmed to prospect game, played that. Player of game. Finished with like 150 points (102 assists)

Simmed to playoffs. Won WHL playoffs. Won Memorial Cup.

1st overall pick to Florida. (though they didn't finish last in standings, so either the game has some kind of lottery mechanism or they traded up).

My only beef with it so far is the odd freeze, and the fact that my cards do not unlock. I get the "You have unlocked your pro card" notices from the GM but in my Performance Tracker I'm still stuck with just the amateur card while the rest are still locked. Oh, and BAP is still way too easy for anyone with any hockey sense. 30 games into 1st NHL season and leading in almost everything.

I was drafted by Nashville in the second round. Leading the team in scoring even though I am only on the second line. Even though there are at least 2 PP a game my team stats are stuck on 9 PP through 15 games. Something is wrong.

Additionally, my team averages about 1 goal a game if I dont score one or set one up. The AI for my team looks like pewee hockey compared to the opponents AI.

Other than that, its fun.

Got 1 game in on BAP, went with CHL route and chose Owen Sound Attack as my team just because of Joey Hishon (Being an Avs had to do with this). RW on the first line and had 1 goal and an assist in my first game.

I played another game where I had 0 goals and 4 assist but for some reason it didn't save .

The sim seems fine to me, what frustrates me is the lack of teammate AI, it's certainly better than in years past, but it still amazes me that some of these virtual players don't kill themselves trying to get out of virtual bed in the morning.

I only played a few games so far. I was waiting for a roster update before starting a pro.

The teammate AI has been a real problem. I'm also not a fan of 20 minute periods. Playing seems to take forever even skipping between shifts.

I'll probably get into it eventually.

It froze both times I've tried to play it... so it isn't going. I've just been playing drop-in games on EASHL cuz I can't get anyone to join a team! haha

Mine was going fine until the patch and now when I try and load my player it loads up to 100% and just sits there, it doesnt let me play, I tried it a good 8 or 9 times..I had to start a new one....very weak..I tried deleting the patch and loading the game but it did not work. I hope that never happens again.

Mine is going great! I am playing on allstar, and did just one season in the CHL, ended up playing for Cape Breton in the QMJHL. Led the league in scoring with 104 points, but still managed to get drafted in the 5th round. By St. Louis! (My favorite team) What are the odds? Right now I am 3/4ths of the way through the preseason, and have a goal and 3 assists. Although we got our butts handed to us by Detroit last night. Can't say I cared for that... Coach says I am almost guaranteed a roster spot tho going off of my performance thus far.

How much XP is everybody getting per game? Does your total include completed tasks? As a sniper, I just had a 2 goal and 1 assist game (with scores of A A+ A+), but only had 70 XP total. I've heard that it should be in the 100-150 range. I'm brand new to this game and don't know if it's something I'm doing wrong.

I think your difficulty might factor in a little. I remember a game where I had 2 A+'s and an A but had a goal and an assist, i got over 50 exp just in my offensive category. I think it factors in how well you pass and everything as well. I am playing on All Star. In games where I did well I was averaging around 100 or so.

First of all i have to say, this mode is waaay better then last year. However some major issues on there.

After 60 games i have 40g 74a 114pts 138pim +99 (i admit, i play only pro difficulty). I was at the 2nd PP unit first but removed after 6g and 4 goals and havent seen any PP time exept for a couple of seconds after some heavy penalized shifts. For whatever reason "my" Oilers (boy, do I ever hate them as a Canucks Fan) are 22/22 on the PP (it was 15/17 just some games ago, so there must be a major bug)

The lack of coach interaction is really annoying, i mean when you are leading the league in pretty much every category you should have to ask for PP time.

One thing that really bothers me, are the line changes on the fly. My player is always the last to come out. So i come in on the offense when the puck is pretty much lost due to a "4 on 5" or on defense when my goalie is peppered with shots on a play similar to a PP.

I really hope there is some trading in the season although i havent seen one yet. So even when there isnt an option to ask for a trade there is still the possibility to go to another team.

Also, my Oilers look like an all-star team going 47-7-6 so far. Yet the pbp guys are still talking about them like a bottom feeder when they play the Isles or the likes of it.
