I represent the community of PRIVATE TEAM-UP PLAYERS. there are some issues about private team-up play that need to be discussed. I have been playing private team-up since it first became available online (nba2k9) and now i want to help take it to the next level. I have many thoughts & ideas that will surely create an atmosphere that will cater to our community and also attract new players that do not know about the way PRIVATE TEAM-UP SHOULD REALLY BE PLAYED. any 2k dev's out there send me a message.

Posting a poor quality video and screaming at the devs is not the right way to get their attention.
Re: NBA 2K12 Demo Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360, PS3)
i'm having a hard time pulling off hopsteps with the right stick...haven't been able to do one yet...
the shot blocking is starting to feel a bit off to me...the responsiveness of the block button is a bit delayed at times...and the block animations that you get are kind of inconsisent...sometimes my player jumps, but most of the time he just puts a hand up...i don't seem to be able to control how aggressively i contest the shot...a lot of times i time my block perfectly, but rather than jumping and really trying to contest, my guy just puts up a weak hand and doesn't leave his feet...this makes it almost impossible to contest fadeaways and drifters because you can't make your man leave his feet and go after the shot. i feel like if i press block, my player should jump every time...if i just want to put a hand up, i would've used the auto contest with the right stick.
also, there is a weird hitch to the block animations sometimes, like if i press the block button a bit early, my player will start to put a hand up like he's starting to jump, but then he'll hesitate and wait for the shooter to go up and then put his hand up a second time...this feels canned, like the game is controlling my player for me in order to make my player time his animation better...but i'd rather have full control of my player..i'd rather my player just go into the animation when i hit the button and deal with the consequences...it feels like the game is babying me and saying "no you didn't want to block just yet, so we'll freeze your player and we'll make him animate when we think he should."
but, it's too early to tell if there's really an issue, or i just haven't figured out the controls yet.

I just can't get use to the camera angle. That's why I stop playing. I was never really good playing in the boardcast veiw. But I love the little improvements on the screen. The post game is so amazing. Can't wait to get my hands on the retail.
if it's what u need, i think it's LT + tap back direction on the left stick
hope it helped
15 seconds in...fake left and right as others here had some trouble i end up doing an up and under move...im just wondering if its possible to do that with a live ball...

Take it easy. Writing in capital letters is considered screaming on the internet. And the video was in poor quality, which has nothing to do with the graphics card.
Hope you're enjoying the demo though.

Romello moon you're not any different from the rest of us.
I advise you to write your ideas down in a thread like the rest of us after the release of 2K12, because that game is pretty much finished. Moreover, don't expect to be contacted by game developers. They're doing enough (I would even dare to say MORE THAN ENOUGH) by reading our posts and putting our ideas in the game.

Are you certain? I tried LT for banking and had no luck, then saw in the controls post that instead of releasing RS you need to flick it to the opposite direction, no luck on both nonetheless...
You don't have to hold LT. Sounds like you're doing it right. are you trying to bank from straight on or way off to the side? There are limits. You have to be at an angle that allows for banks.

I got the hang of it eventually.
I must say that as a guy who's made a living off of the bank in 2K11 getting used to banking with the RS is a challenge, in most times it turns as a pump fake or a late release.
Re: NBA 2K12 Demo Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360, PS3)
Not sure if it happens all the time. I did it once but haven't tried it again.
But I was with Dirk behind the three point line. I jab stepped one way twice. Pump faked. But then I jabbed again, except he was jabbing with the other leg..which is travel?

Re: NBA 2K12 Demo Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360, PS3)
Was playing the demo a bit more today. Playing off-ball defense as a center/PF seems to be going to be alot of fun this year.
You can deny the ball by pushing the RS towards the player you're defending and your player will bump the other player and put his hands out in front of him to deny the pass.
