I am satisfied with the gameplay improvements and the overall smoothness of the game, but dissatisfied with the graphics. I am playing on PS3, and am strongly considering picking up a used 360. If anyone has played the demo on both consoles, I'd love to know if there's that much of a difference graphically. Since 2K uses 360 builds for its trailers and gameplay videos, we can infer that this game simply looks better on Xbox. My question is how much.

Blake is going to be CRAZY

the post game is incredible

defense is much improved

Lebron has been cookin me because Im not use to the pump fakes (greatness)

The spacing is much much better... still could be a tad bigger court wise... but thats just from a point guards point of view

Iso motion is beautiful

Shooting is the leaps n bounds better than last year

my gripes:

Too easy for me since I play on HOF (its a demo tho I expected it)

2 weeks until release date


For me, its perfect... its the balance Ive been asking for and Im happy with that... if I want it realer than this I'll go to the gym...

keep improving on it of course but Im just sayin... wow

Ok...thanks. The Ps3 version seems to be missing quite a few details surrounding the court and in the presentation this year. I am glad that the on-court graphics (can actually see lights bounce off the floor) are improved, but there are still too many discrepancies when u add them all up.

Now last year's demo was really ugly and ev'one said it was an early build just wait til the retail drops "blah blah blah" and I bought the retail hoping for the best but it looked EXACTLY like the demo.

I wonder if the retail will be better looking than the demo this year. So far, 2k10 was the best looking version for the PS3 2k series to date, IMO. 2k11 took a step backwards on PS3 graphically, and 2k12 has taken two steps forward (on the court between the lines), but the colors are more washed out than on 2k10.

I almost don't want to admit how much fun the 2k12 demo is b/c there is so much that needs to still be fixed on PS3, but gosh darnit the game is still flat out fun.

not everything is ported, the usually work on the PS3 version after the 360, I remember in the demo last year fisher had a full beard and in the retail version he did not, so we just have to wait and see how the final product looks, on court it is the best I have seen.

i just made a bank shot on the 1st try, but i missed like 5 straight times after that lol

as 2k said, i put the right stick down to start to shoot then put it up quick at the moment i would have released it normally

i think the angle has to be 45 degrees, not 46 lol

I guess that would be my biggest complaint for 2K12, banking is a challenge for us whom don't have stick-skills ... That's bothering me because I adored banking in 2K11

I always piss my friends when I bank in 3 pointers

the cpu's arsenal will make you go to practice mode in this game

Lebron and D Wade are doin some ish lol

and Bosh is nice in the post and agressive when he should be

the AI is right and this isnt even HOF

Now I'm confused. Of course you can do the shimmy of a live dribble, but you lose the dribble in the process. Or you mean doing a shimmy while keeping the live dribble? Then it's not a shimmy at all.

What im saying is that a shoulder fake which looks a shimmy is done with a live dribble

This is the year of the post game. They should have put Kevin Mchale, or the dream on the cover. I normally focus on guards, but I might be a big man exclusively this year because it's that fun(used to find post game tedious). With the new block animations, live ball rebounds, and awesome post game, I'm calling Hakeem to be most fun to play w/ this year.

I hate to break it to you but Joel Anthony is an NBA player. If you leave him open, he will score, simple as that. I'm betting you are playing as Tyson Chandler going for the block, leaving Anthony open under the hoop and the Heat are making you pay for it. You know what my man Czar says, "Don't play videogames........."

Great ball handlers are still falling and losing the ball in the paint. I don't know who's idea that was, but I've been watching, and playing basketball since I can remember, and I've never seen that happen. Demo is great tho, can't wait

As it should be. Get use to the live ball physics. Even great ball handlers turn the ball over.

Another thing that I love is the fact that every time someone pump fakes, even if you bite on the fake and leave your feet, its not an automatic free shot at a +1 (I'm looking at you Chase).

The CPU did an alley-oop off the backboard against me. That never, ever happened in 2K11, and I played it all year long.
