Give it couple more months, and it will be like with pes2011, when people went back to older titles already in january.

This is a demo true, but like I've said so many times. If BALANCING(which is the most important) of the game was as easy to do, we would have great pes every year. And yet we are still here playing WE9LE game from 2006, which is no surprise the most realistic game to date.

We'll see how it will be with full version of pes2012. They will correct some problems, the game will overall be better than pes2011, but will it be better than ALL THE OTHERS? We'll see, but as every year, I prefer to remain out of the "enthusiasm" loop, and have a clear view of the game.

We routinely have low scoring games (0-0, 0-1,1-1, 2-0, 2-1) which is how most real soccer games are, btw, playing 25 MINUTE games in WE9LE. That just hasn't been the case with anything made thereafter.

I like the way the Ai attacks you directly, it reminds me of playing a human player (why build up when the pass is there?). Defending is a matter of timing and damage limitation, as offensive players should always have a slight advantage in a game. With the demo i can cram the highlights of one 90 min match into a ten min game, this suits me fine. The only thing that still Irks me is the shooting doesnt feel very user determined and the through balls, where their destiny is to reach the attacking player against any obsticle. Overall the game is a lot of fun, the AI is fantastic but the balance is more suited to pick up and play, not to say its easy to master. The main problem with FIFA is i find it purposely slow paced in the passing and the reaction isnt instant like pes, its hard to go back to FIFA because i can't do as much with the ball, i guess this is appealing to a lot of people who want 'SIM' - whatever that really means.

I hate to bring up the other game but don't think you it has the same problem?

I disagree as I am still playing PES11 and love it. Also, about the scoring, games do not always end with only 0-3 goals total. Just take a peek at the Premier League last week. You had Blackburn over Arsenal 4-3, Spurs over Liverpool 4-0, Fulham and Man City 2-2.

I used to feel like you did about scoring, but I play with 15 minute halves on professional and get a very diverse set of scores, anywhere from 0 to as many as 6 goals usually. I used to play on 20 minute halves and had the same types of scores. I think anything over 20 minutes for half length is pushing the realism factor because your shots on goal goes out the roof.

PES has too many visual glitches. An example was when I put in a cross & my player headed the ball goalwards. Only it was patently obvious the ball never actually touched my players head. I know when watching replays graphical glitches sometimes become apparent but it takes something to notice a flaw like this during the flow of a game especially considering the fast pace of the demo version.
PES plays better this year than it has done for a while but whereby the FIFA series has made some big strides in the last few years PES seems to be stuck in a rut of 2 steps forward, 1 step back.

I don't see these at all. Even if I did, I know this will happen. After all, it's a video game. I guess I just have an open mind about sports game. Even in other sports games, for instance NBA 2K games, when they are dribbling the ball, the ball doesn't really touch the players hand. When they go for a dunk, sometimes their hands does not touch the rim. I'm cool with that.

PES demo two was fast yes, but there's an option to slow it down (-2) which plays perfectly IMO.

That said, graphical stuff - I can forgive, to me overall gameplay is most important.

                  NOTE:

Did you see how many animation glitches FIFA 12 has? Check you YouTube. Both games are not perfect.

That's why I may just go with PES 2012 this year. FIFA is nice, but there are too many bugs as usual in yet another EA Sports game.

I have to agree with EvanRG, I played A ridiculous amount of PES2011 and had a wide range of scores and I play 20 Minute halves on Pro. The scoring was down from 2010, I also played a ridiculous amount of every year for the last 10 and Loved them all but they all had their flaws, Find it amusing when people always refer to one particular year as the holy grail of a certain game forgetting all the flaws of that game. I personally like the 20 minute halves because it gives me a better feel for the ebb and flow of a game.

Here is a video from the UK Gamespot guys. Just some impressions from the retail copy.

Guy and Cameron get stuck in the review build for Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 2012, once the darling of the football genre. Do the headline changes to the gameplay stack up to much? Watch to find out.

Agreed although you can question the 1st goal in the 1st game a little because he should have probably used his other hand to try to get to it. Otherwise, didn't look bad.
