I'm new to the NBA 2k community and I kept hearing this term"cheeser". When I found out what the definition was, I realized that it perfectly describes my style of play. I don't get why cheeser's are looked down at, to me we're winners. Yeah, I use the hop step 30 times a game with Derrick Rose, I spin dunk every other possession, and I lead pass in the post, so what, that's how I win games. I enjoyed steroid Baseball and I enjoy cheesey 2k Basketball, is that so bad?

Hahaha it's boring to play like that, i like to have diff plays like real nba and now u really can with 2k12 and feels good and when u actually do a spin dunk or a crazy move when it sets up its like yeee !! but if u do it everytime down the floor ....Comment

You're not winning anything, you're cheating the game. You're not a good player if you cheese simple as that. It's the fact that things like this don't beat the opposing player but there is nothing you can do to stop it in the game.
It's exploiting the A.I and if you care that much about winning an online video game something is wrong with your complex.....Comment

To answer your question of why cheesers are looked down on: It is because you have to resort to using videogames tactics...instead of playing real basketball. Sure, you can spin dunk all game...but then you aren't playing basketball, you're playing a videogame. It's like going for it on 4th down constantly in Madden. If you do that, then you aren't playing real football (Using plays you would see during Sunday), you're playing a videogame.
Personally...I don't see how anyone can get enjoyment out of doing the same thing over and over...You know what they say, "Variety is the slice of life"Comment

To me cheesing is like cursing. Some people do it cause they lack vocabulary, and some people do it to sound a certain way. Every body does it a little at least, but if you do it too much no one will want to be around your ***. You can curse to win arguments and you can cheese to win games, but in both instances other person has much less respect for you afterward.
