A 9.5 in the gameplay department as well. Downloading the game from Season Ticket so hopefully it matches was is written.

One of my friends has a modded system so I'll get to play it later today (luckily he let me know he had it befoe I bought a season pass)... I'm really curious about the full game because I wasn't a huge fan of the demo.

Very intriguing review. I wonder how high GameSpot's Guy Cocker will score it. He's good. I wish I could wake up and find it was Tuesday morning. Long weekend ahead!

The freedom of movement(after slider adjustments) is absolutely lovely


This game needed ONE thing in the gameplay department and that was a speed and acceleration slider for the players... years ago i edited players speed and accelertaion out and the game played like this.

with that adjustment left to our eyes and not theirs the game opens up

Can't wait to see your sliders for this. I played 1 great game against the Phila Union with NY Red Bulls and I adjusted some things and had the best game of soccer in a looooooooooooooong time.

I preface this by saying that I am not a fan of sports game reviews. I think they come out too quickly and don't take into account the multiple game modes that are becoming the norm for sports games. For example, this reviewer surely couldn't have tested the game online where some are reporting that you can't see what club your opponent has selected or even what kit they have.

Having a plethora of game modes is great but reviews need to dig down deeper to accurately portray the game. Case in point:

For those who spend hours in the manager's dugout, the drama is said to be much closer to the real thing.

A review should be based off the author's original thoughts, not speculation. Why not just start up a career mode and play a few matches to see what it's like? At least up to Transfer deadline day which seems like a big inclusion but is left out of this review.

Again, my beef is not with the game in itself but with how reviews seem to favor innovation over refinement and pick and choose what to touch upon.

What do you mean the gameplay is stunning? Do teams build up, play differently, try to score in different and creative ways? It seems like in the demo all teams just tried to either push it in real fast or score on a cross. There was no creative passing in the demo.

9.5 no way...

like i said in the impressions thread if you are a football junkie like me who was playing this while watching the aresnal bolton game earlier or currently watching the united vs stoke game while playing on a tv side by side you are disgusted by 50% of what this game is offering/delivering and calling it football

7 from me for a decent effort
