It only seems to count as a drop when I get the "catch, take a step, put the ball on the ground" animation. If the ball hits the WR in the face, back, legs or anywhere else it doesn't seem to register as a dropped pass. I guess it shouldn't really be a drop if it doesn't hit their hands.
