Everyone, great job on the sliders.
But I have been messing around with this tonight (the 20 month old is sick, so I have PLENTY of opportunity tonight)...but I can't get into it anymore.
In order for the game to play properly, you have to edit all the rosters because EA Sports designed a game where if you play on coach mode, you see the QB throwing -3 yard patterns on 3rd and 15 because their AWR is so freakin low. You see 61 rated DE's blowing by 90 rated OT's because the OT's AWR is so low. Sammy Watkins, a STUD freshman WR...his AWR is 42, which means when he runs his route's guess what...he runs them OUT OF BOUNDS!
So you adjust the AWR on the team you are using, but then you see the super freak of the CPU where everyone has 85+ pursuit, 85+ acceleration and agility. We have 335lb DT's wiath 87 AGILITY, but a 210lb RB with 67 agility to go with low 70's AWR.
So I can go through and edit all the players, but my thing is...why did EA Sports release a game with these player ratings???? It's not like no one knows about this, hell Playmakers has been doing this for at least 3 years that I know of, but the same crap gets re-spewed every year.
The thing is, I don't know what to trade the game in on. I'm not sure Madden is any damn good either, because the graphics are awesome but the gameplay continuously gets worse and worse.
In college football, the passion of the game is the OPTION. As is, no one runs the option with any effectiveness. You have to edit the rosters to get the option to be blocked right, and plays executed properly.
The fact that you have to edit sliders to get anywhere near a nice gameflow is quite disturbing, but EA Sports has no one to make them create a better game, also known as a MONOPOLY.
