And why is Toney Douglas only 69? 2k insider is wack

Most people that don't like Miami will say outlandish things out of their disdain for the Heat. I can see someone saying LeBron is overrated (not that I agree), but Wade?

        Playoffs
        Wade - 24.5ppg at FG 49%
        Bron - 23.7ppg at FG 47%
        Dirk - 27.7ppg at FG 49%
        Kobe - 22.8ppg at FG 45%

So Wade averaging about 3 less points than Dirk equates to him being overrated and having an atrocious playoff performance?

If that's the case, I'll sell my unicorn when the season starts on time.

98 is to high for Lebron and 96 is to high for Wade. Their both gonna have ratings that are to high. 2k has overrated them.

LOL....***dy Gay (rated 86) is better than Dirk( rated 85) definitely an error. I like Rudy but he should not even be rated higher than Zach Randolph. Rudy should about an 80 at best.

Re: NBA 2K12 Player Ratings Revealed (Most of Them)

To me it's really sad that on an indepth forum like OS people are obsessed with ovrl ratings. This thread would look pretty much the same on the 2k forum. I mean cmon guys!!!!

None of you played the demo? Even last year overall ratings didn't matter much (Afflalo was one of my favourite SGs) but this year I think it's even more so. I played the demo a 100 times (at least) and I must say playing with Fernandez was really sweet and he is rated 65! 65 people. I watch the European Championship where Spain tore everyone apart and I must say that I am able to play with Fernandez like he played in the Championship. A good shooter, he can drive some, he is nasty on dunks and layups and that is ALL in the game.

Who the hell cares about overalls as long as they play true to themselves. While reading this thread I am under the impression that you would all rather see accurate overall ratings and be happy even if then they played like some old school video game players from NBA live 95.

Ratings have become complex and there is a ton of them, some affect the overall more than others. I wish 2k just gave an option to edit the overall rating so people would be hapyy with their BLING BLING.

P.S. I for one am excited that the ratings are so diverse, should make for a more dynamic game. I also will reserve judgement for the time when I have the game in my hands, then I will be able to see what's what.

Wow! ratings went WAY down this year. At least everybody went down at the same time. 'cept Lebron anyway. meh at least you can adjust the ratings. I'll be taking Lebron down to about 95. Wade down to 93. I agree with the rest of the ratings. Only reason I take Wades down is cause to be totally honest, even though I can't stand the guy LeBron is the best player in the league at this current time. (better watch for Durant and Rose though). I can't have Wade's overall better than LeBrons so I take em both down a bit. The rest of the ratings are really fine with me like I said everybody dropped together. Just 98 is a huge outlying. He rose while everyone else dropped.

We're talking about the MVP here.

What Rose has done for the Bulls > Anything Melo has done for the Knicks.

Not to mention that Melo doesn't play defense or make anybody else around him better.

I'm cool with Rose and Durant being rated the same overall.

Did you watch the Knicks last year? Some of Melos top performances? Like game 2(think it was that one) with the Celtics? That performance was legendary and his stats should be tuned in a way that it allows the user to get such performances from him.

The problem with most such players like Melo (even Lebron) is a problem of mentality and psychology and until 2k mostly rates physical and skill attributes
the ratings will look off. Same goes for the Mavs. Their chemistry and the experience coupled with their skills is what won them the championship.

I'm sure 2K will develop an accurate psychological system for the next generation consoles. Maybe bring some sports psychologists in their crew. Should make everyone happy.

Meh, these ratings look fine for the most part. They tried to seperate the elite players from the rest of the pack but probably went 2 or 3 points too high. Melo and Joe Johnson are probably coming down first with LeBron, Wade, Kobe & Rudy Gay next. Still need to see how their individual ratings effect gameplay to really know if ratings need major adjusting. Seven more days......
