    Is this cheese?

Im in a 1-star OD w/ new mexico. I see that in most of the OD threads that they have rules that say you have to play your QB only at that position or its considered cheese. So i was wondering if this is considered "Cheese"..on my depth chart my 4th string QB is a 61 overall (82 speed, 84 acc) and i have him as my 3rd string RB where he is a 59 overall. Yes it is very pathetic that he is the 3rd best running back on my team, but im not really sure if that is considered cheese using him only when both the 1st and 2nd stringers get fatigued/injured like they have. So if you were a commish or opposing player would you throw a fit over this? I really dont think it is a big deal.

Not sure at all why your QB playing any other position is cheese. I think in your case you just don't have the depth and your QB is an athlete that can play other positions. I see no reason why it would be considered cheese, but then again I see no reason why it is considered cheese nonetheless.

Only cheese when you play a 97 spd WR at QB, and he still makes plays like he is the real QB lol moving a QB to RB is not cheese at all.

Alright good, I didn't think so either. And yeah i will, receivers cant catch and i have no speed.

You would have to be an unbelievable nitpicker to call cheese on a 59 OVR halfback. No, it's not cheese, it's a function of the game's silly hard roster limit.
Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.

Definitely okay, when you're at those types of programs, you use whatever athletes you have wherever you can play them. I had a season one time when I had my backup QB playing WR and running back kicks and punts. He ended up playing QB for a few games due to injury too.

Recruiting is so rough for those 1* teams that you have to get VERY creative with existing players and recruits. In many ways, I like that challenge more than just plugging in stars every year.

Yeah thats what i like about it too.. I guess now ill move my corner to reciever also, since he is my 3rd best wide out at an astonishing 63 ovr. (also my fastet player w/ 91 spd, 91 acc)

Keep in mind that the ovr does not necessarily mean he is the best at that position. For the CB to WR, what is his catch rating? He may be better OVR because of his speed, but if he can't catch and can't run routes, he is not going to perform better. Also, his AWR will take a big hit, probably in the 30's.

                      Re: Is this cheese?

This brings up a personal situation of mine.

I like using Clemson online. They fit my spread option and shoot bone schemes perfectly. Boyd is a solid passer and good run threat.

BUT, my backups suck at QB.

I have a 5th string corner back that has 94 speed and 74 throw power and 70 throw accuracy. I use him at 2nd string QB and use him in my wildcat package. He's also made some nice plays for me doing the fake field goal pass.

I've thrown outta the wildcat 5 times, completed 1 pass. Use him just for the read options. But if my starter did go down I likely would have no problem using him for an entire game.

Thoughts? He was a former quarterback. But he's useless throwing the ball past 30 yards and wildly innacurate. But I run the triple options and read options primarily and he is excellent for it. If I could position change him I definitely would, but I don't have that option. Plus he doesn't where gloves and he does wear a QB wristband so he looks like a legit QB

The only time I think putting a speedster at QB would be cheese if you are playing the CPU, calling plays w/ deep routes and running.
Shame on the HUM defender if they are calling Man Coverage plays in this situation.
