Re: FIFA 12 Season Ticket Early Release Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360, PS
I back pass to the keeper very often and also have never seen this. Not saying it doesn't happen, but I think it should be known that it doesn't seem common and it shouldn't stop someone from enjoying the game.Comment

Re: FIFA 12 Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360, PS3)
Will just echo what's been said a hundred times already.
1. Love the new defense. Playing defense is a challenge - and I'm currently not very good at it. I actually went into practice mode and practiced defending corner kicks just so I could get the hang of how physical things have become. I'm not happy that I keep losing, but I'm glad I finally have to work at defending in the game.
2. The lack of fouls is pretty absurd. I've been everything short of murdered in the box and can't get a foul call on the CPU, but a tackle that is slightly missed on my end results in a penalty. Some of that is associated with the growing pains of learning the new system, most of it is the ref code just not being up to snuff. I'm all for physical play, but fouls are too crucial to overlook and I certainly hope they are fixed in a patch. I haven't tried different leagues to see if there's a difference there in terms of foul calls, but I'm guessing not.
3. The fluidity of the game is amazing. Just love the ebb and flow. The frenetic pace to something more controlled. Finally feels like a real match.
4. LOVE that the CPU will pass backwards. Absolutely love it. The most annoying thing in '11 was the constant push forward and the CPU's ability to just shred your defense with pinpoint passing. I'm not seeing that as an issue anymore. The first backward pass by the CPU was a great moment for me.
5. The audio for the crowd is great. I like that they are intelligent enough to recognize what is happening at all times on the pitch and will give you feedback even on a good run or a nice shot on goal. Really helps bring everything to life.Comment

Well guys.. this is the second time where a match goes intro extra time with the score tied at 2... scored a goal to make it 3-2 in the 105th minute and when i press the X to watch the replay, the game freezes! This is the xbox 360 version... 2 times in 3 days is not coolComment

this is one thing I really like in the other game so it's good to know Fifa has it too.

What level are you playing on? I played the demo on Pro and really didn't notice this too much.Comment

Most definitely. Also, each team will swap keeping possession. I'll have it for a few minutes and back the AI up, then they'll do the same to me followed by some back and forth quicker play.Comment

Do you also feel there is a difference between teams and players?Comment

I played two games on WC so far and you can clearly tell the difference between a good and bad team.
For instance, I was Man U vs Swansea and it was easy to just shut them down. Sure, they had some possession, but no scoring opps.
To contrast, I played Liverpool vs Everton and Everton played exactly how I expected. Everton managed to keep the ball a little and made me pay on the counter and a Saha header from Baines. I managed to get into the game eventually but still lost 1-0.
BTW, the difference between how the computer plays on pro and world class is night and day.Too Old To Game Club

Well, yes, but I'm also assigning teams custom team tactics.

Re: FIFA 12 Available Now, Post Impressions Here (360, PS3)
I have made it clear that a futbol game has to make me feel like I felt when I played and coached. Well, obviously it can't be duplicated. After all, its a video game. But, I want to FEEL certain things.
I've posted here that I love many aspects of FIFA but had one really nagging issue that basically makes the game unplayable. That is the fact that the cpu does not change formation and tactics as it should.
For instance, I had more than one game where i would have a 1 goal lead with under 10 minutes left to play and the cpu never changed formation, never pulled a defender to add an attacker, never even pushed the lines up, never even changed shape, showed no urgency.
Well, in fairness I'd like to say I have 3 different times been in the same situation with PES12 and had the cpu fail to do those things as well. But, I'm almost certain it did last year.
I posted over there but wanted to post here so you guys know I'm straight up no matter what the game.
Anyway, is there any chance that anything can be done to induce the cpu to get the heck out of a 4-4-2 when down a goal late? Maybe a developer can answer that. I mean, what the heck good does it to have a 4 man back line when you're down a goal?
I'm still searchingComment
