    FistofRage's Heisman Sliders

Here the are. You will look at them and say, what the QB accuracy is too high, what is up with the increased pass catching? Just try them and post some stats. I am seeing planty of innacurate throws and most games have around 1 int per team with decent completeion %.

Use alot of the playbook, and slide block on runs. I am sure that 4 verticals and some other streak plays may be money but I don't use 4 verts or 5 WR sets. I also don't audible, I may flip plays and put guys ion motion on running plays but thats about it.

I only control the Right DT on defense, so everyone else plays to their abilities.

May need to open up the passing game just a hair.....Might drop down Pass coverage.

Actually, I need to make some major changes to the passing game to make it more effective for the AI. Rushing game is pretty solid, will update tonight.

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT....YOU MUST ADJUST THE COAHING STRATEGIES TO BIG RUN AGGRESSIVE AND STRIP BALL AGGRESSIVE AT THE OPENING KICK-OFF

IF THE AI tries a really long FG except at the end of the half or game, use fg block return and run the ball out to the 20 and duck out of bounds, its the only way to not frog up field position. Its not recorded as a turnover like in years past

You will see quite a few human strip ball animations, but it has to be that way to see appropriate amount of fumbles by RB's and WR's/TE's.

I'll probably give these a try, even though I am now convinced the game just plays better on All American, which sucks because it really doesn't give quite as good a challenge. I used to use your slider sets all the time, so I'll gladly give these a shot at some point.

Thanks, post results....I will be making major changes to the passing game though. I really wish there wasn't such a lack of fumbles this year, I hate having to have the human do the strip animation all the time.

              Re: FistofRage's Heisman Sliders

Hi Fist! Looks like we both have gotten in to this game about the same time. I've waited until all the patches and tuners came out before buying the game this year. Last year was just too frustrating.

Anyways, it looks like we have our work cut out for us this year. After playing one game with your sliders, I'm a little worried about the whole fumbling thing. See below:

I played as Kentucky, at home against UNLV:

              Here are the results:

              Score: UNLV 14 - Kentucky(me) 45
              First Downs: 9 / 15
              Total Offense: 246 yds / 316 yds
              Rushes-Yds-TD: 31-111-1 / 30-142-3
              Comp-Att-TD: 11-22-1 / 16-31-1
              Passing Yds: 135 / 174
              3rd Dwn Conv: 4-12(33%) / 5-12(41%)
              4th Dwn Conv: 0-0(0%) / 0-0(0%)
              Red Zone-TD-FG: 1-1-0(100%) / 5-3-1(80%)
              Turnovers: 7 / 3
              Fumbles (Lost): 6(5) / 2(1)
              Interceptions: 2 / 2
              Punts Avg: 5-37.6 / 4-47.0
              Penalties-Yds: 8-76 / 3-25
              TOP: 14:17 / 17:43
              TFL: 8 / 13
              Sacks: 3 / 6
              Pass Deflections: 7 / 3
              Field Goals: 0-0 / 1-2
              WR Drops: 1 / 1
              Pancakes: 0 / 1
              Broken Tackles: 3 / 3

Analysis: I'm not quite sold yet on the "Stip Ball" feature. Six(6) fumbles just feels like a bit much to me. I do like the idea of the "Big Run" feature, tho. I remember last year, I would get a few fumbles over the course of the year on defense, but I never fumbled it much on offense. I simply haven't played enough this year to see the extent of the user & cpu fumbles w/o the gameplanning.

Run game feels good on both sides. I did break a 55 yd touchdown run on a draw play in the 3rd quarter. I didn't bother with slide blocking on run plays, though. CPU did quite a bit of good QB scrambling.

Pass game seems ok, but I'll need to play a few more games to get a better feel for it.

                Re: FistofRage's Heisman Sliders

Well, it looks like my first assessment is holding true. I just finished another game with these sliders, and the results are below:

I played as Georgia, at home against Tennessee.

                Here are the results:

                Score: Tenn 21 - Georgia(me) 45
                First Downs: 11 / 10
                Total Offense: 355 yds / 306 yds
                Rushes-Yds-TD: 18-62-2 / 33-64-1
                Comp-Att-TD: 19-35-1 / 13-24-4
                Passing Yds: 293 / 242
                3rd Dwn Conv: 0-9(0%) / 7-14(50%)
                4th Dwn Conv: 0-0(0%) / 0-0(0%)
                Red Zone-TD-FG: 5-2-0(40%) / 3-2-0(66%)
                Turnovers: 7 / 5
                Fumbles (Lost): 4(3) / 3(2)
                Interceptions: 4 / 3
                Punts Avg: 3-48.3 / 3-47.3
                Penalties-Yds: 5-50 / 4-37
                TOP: 12:42 / 19:17
                TFL: 14 / 5
                Sacks: 5 / 2
                Pass Deflections: 3 / 7
                Field Goals: 0-2 / 1-1
                WR Drops: 1 / 2
                Pancakes: 1 / 1
                Broken Tackles: 4 / 1

Analysis: Well, I had a lot of rushing yardage negated by 5 (big yardage) sacks. I actually had a 70 yard touchdown run in the 2nd quarter on a HB Blast. And then my running game got stuffed the rest of the game.

Still too many interceptions and too many fumbles.

I'll wait until you update your sliders before I do any more testing. Time for bed.

With your sliders user QBs are too accurate, lower user QB acc to 40. Change threshold to 40 or 45; it will open up the passing game a little without making it cheesey.

Really? I am having a hard time getting the AI passing going. I am going to ditch the strp ball aggressive and try big hit aggressive and see what happens.

                        Re: FistofRage's Heisman Sliders

Hi Fist - I just tried out the latest set. With Big Run set to aggressive, and no gameplanning on defense. I played as Notre Dame, playing on the road against Michigan.

Either home field advantage is way out of wack this year, or something has to be done about the fumbles and penalties. Each time I got in the red zone, I would have either a holding penalty, or a fumble to end my drive. I could not score a touchdown offensively.

The passing game felt awful... just too many defenders hitting me as I threw the ball or knocking the ball back down in my face. The two picks that I threw were waaaay downfield. I was losing by so much they were desperation throws after holding penalties. It doesn't help that I had 3 wide open dropped passes.

The running game was non-existant. I tried running the ball a few times in each half, but I couldn't get it going. I remember running 10 straight passing plays, and then I ran a draw, and boom, minus 5 yards. Then, to make matters worse, my guys fumbled the ball 4 times, losing 2 of them.

On the other side of the ball, Michigan was dominant running the football. My guys were getting blown off the ball, and pass coverage was awful. Robinson was unstoppable. 22 first downs should tell the story. Although it's important to note, Robinson did fumble the ball once, but I couldn't recover it. So I was glad to see that. However, my guys dropped about 4 or 5 interceptions which could have helped me immensely.

After three games played so far, I think penalties need to be turned down a little bit. I'm seeing way too many combined penalties each game.

The CPU kicking game is outstanding @ 35 FG Accuracy. In the last few games, they've been missing FGs, but the Michigan kicker was 5-5 today.

I think we should dump gameplanning completely. Four(4) fumbles is ridiculous. I'd rather walk on burning coals than watch my team fumble the game away all night.

Also, maybe a small bump in pass coverage for both the CPU and USER. And definitely a bump in interceptions for the USER.

                        Anyway, here are the results:

                        Score: ND(me) 7 - Michigan 36
                        First Downs: 9 / 22

                        Comp-Att-TD: 17-38-0 / 19-29-1
                        Passing Yds: 142 / 179
                        3rd Dwn Conv: 3-11(27%) / 4-12(33%)

                        Red Zone-TD-FG: 4-0-0(0%) / 6-2-4(100%)
                        Turnovers: 4 / 0
                        Fumbles (Lost): 4(2) / 1(0)

Ugh, that was not a fun game. Can I get that last 60 minutes of my life back?

Alright...dropping gameplanning completely for the next 5 games.....

Just going to up User RB ability by 10 and run blocking by 5.

Think I may also drop INT slider to 40 for each side.

Absolutely even game. To be fair though I knocked out Denard on the 2nd to last play of the first half. I was down 20-7 at the end of the 1st half. Drew it to 20-14 on an Wood 8 yard run. Michigan was having some trouble moving the ball with Devin Gardner. They pinned me deep and on my 10 yard line, they crowded the lin on what looked like an all out blitz, the LB dropped back into zone, totally baited me and picked off the crossing pattern for a pick 6. They went for 2 and were stuffed on a run. 26-14. Riddick returned the ball to the Michigan 48(thank goodness finally once you break the first line of return coverage, you aren't automatically gone). Rees then hit Floyd on a 48 yard pass for the TD.

Gardner was sacked...I can confirm 1/2 sacks are in....KLM and E Johnson were both credited with 1/2 a sack on this.

ND held and another Cierre Wood TD run followed by a 2pt conversion to Eifert put ND up 29-26 with 1:26 left and they held on for the victory.

Great Even game. Cierre Wood was the MVP going 23-110-3 TD's.

Please post some stats, I think these may be close...Won't see a whole lot of fumbles, but not much we can do about that, it would seem.

****Think I may up the quarter length to 9 minutes to get about 15 more total plays per game****
