This year, the NHL 12 engine has automatically added more reverb than usual. In the past, pack creators (myself included), manually added reverb to the tracks. However, because of the reverb in NHL 12, any additional reverb that is added results in an ugly, unrealistic sound.
Other pack creators that did not use reverb, or any other effects, were fortunate, but their music packs noticeably sound like simply music playing on a TV set. Because I have had to completely re-do the pack, I have consentrated on the following:
1. The highest quality tracks possible (atleast 200Kbps)
2. Realism in regards to the sound of the tracks in game, when compared to how they sound in an NHL arena.
3. Authenticity in regards to team intros, goal horns and any additional team specific ditties I can find.
I strongly advise all hockey purists to give my pack a try, as it is a fresh, accurate representation of the sound and feel of being in a NHL arena.
