Re: Playmakers Madden 12 Custom Sliders

I tried out your latest settings and I am fairly pleased with the results, but there was a ton of sacks, especially on our side against a very good Falcons O-Line. So as with every setting set, there are some flaws.

      50/50
      100/100

I'm getting great results. My only issue is the fumbles. HUM fumbles way too much so if I go over 50 total in the run offense, am I crossing a difficulty threshold which will in turn mess up the stats?

These sliders have been changed so many time though I'm afraid we're getting off track or do you feel they're getting better?
I actually like the way they have evolved on the lower end....

The only slider that is a problem right now is the INT slider

I had pass rush at 66 before then lowered it down recently to 59....

I will try 34/66 and see what happens...previoulsy i was staying at 75 (76) value for Human pass defense

Re: Playmakers Madden 12 Custom Sliders

used sliders with slow speed and 10 speed threshold, excellent results!

I was the Redskins against the Cowboys, went into overtime tied 30-30, I got the ball first, won 36-30

with my previous custom slider set the game was way too easy, now it's more difficult, but in a realistic sense A++++++

Re: Playmakers Madden 12 Custom Sliders

I am playing the 2012 season of the Rams using playmakers sliders.
During the 2011 season, I went 10-6 and lost in the wild-card round to the Falcon.
Through the first four games of this season, I am 4-0 with wins over the Saints (16-13), Patriots (34-7), Seahawks (26-7) and Dolphins (28-7).
One thing to take into consideration, is these four teams are a combined 3-13, so maybe they are just not very good. The Patriots are 2-2, the Seahawks are 1-3 and the Saints and Dolphins are both 0-4.
Brees and Brady probably both underperformed in their games, although they both did complete more than 60 percent of their passes. The Seahawks QB (Matt Hasselbeck, how did he get back there) and Dolphins QB (Jason Campbell) both stunk it up.

What I was wondering, was if by using the same formula to opposing QBs that I applied to Sam Bradford. Was I dumbing down the opposing QB.
This is what I was told to use when advancing beyond the 2011 season: add the ratings for:
          Throw accurarcy
          Short Accuracy
          Medium Accuarcy
          Deep Accuracy
          Throw on the Run
          and then divide by five.
I'd like to think my success this season, was all my doing. But I doubt that is the case. If anyone can help with that, it would be appreciated.

Hi. What's the difference between low and high value settings? Which one is more difficult or preferable to use?

We gonna run this town tonight!

you came through that setting works great....but my WR catch slider isn't high enough to use it at 34

Re: Playmakers Madden 12 Custom Sliders

Ok so I posted earlier, but cant find it now.

                So Ill post again

Using your settings I played three GREAT games in a row, where the score was really tight, and I lost the first two.

THEN all of a sudden I cant be stopped. Im passing for 79% avg with cam newton, Im running for over 120yds per game with Ingram. This is a franchise, fantasy draft, all rookie team.

I thought ok, maybe just a fluke, or whatever so played the WHOLE season through. First 5 games were tough, the next 11 were cake walks.

Im not sure what Im doing wrong, but Im using your front page sliders.

Any help or notes is appreciated.

The running mind you is not EASY! Im having to run 30 times or more for yardage. But suddenly the CPU cant keep up on offense. They go 3 and out continously.

                After 16 games J.Watt has 23 sacks, M.Dareus has 16 sacks and both OLB's have 10+.

INT's wise its 5 for top guy P.Peterson then 3 or less for 4 others.

EDIT: Is there a rule against modifying reciever patterns or whatever? I dont even play a guy on D unless a runner is free and the AI is being dumb. Im a good runner, and decent passer. It seems the slant is redicilously easy. And also the CPU tends to all out blitz alot still this year. Anyway to fix that?

PM, As some of the QB's progress or regress, can I redo the QB chart because Cam Newton is a 90 now instead of a 82 or should I stick to your current ratings?

You should, that's what Ive been doing in my 5th year of frachise. You kind of have to cause of new players that are drafted and other players that increase and decrease in accuracy.

                        Check the Front Page

I increased the CPU INT slider to 52 and that might even go up to 60 real soon

Increased CPU Tackle Slider to 20 and Lowered the HUman tackle slider to 0 you don't need it IMO.

Lowered Value of the Human Running game down to 25 (Fumble-24)

you came through that setting works great....but my WR catch slider isn't high enough to use it at 34

                          major prop's for the settings
                          haha thanks

Game might be ruined for me now though, at least franchise mode. CAP players cause the game to freeze after a season and doesn't allow you to go into offseason which is a real nono for a $60 game.

Same thing with Fight Night where CAPS cause the game to freeze at the fight loading screen.

Maybe one day EA will get this CAPS thing right. Maybe take a note from Smackdown vs Raw cause they've nailed it every time.

Anyway, I've been slowly tweaking stuff here and there as I go trying not to obsess over sliders anymore. Madden 12 and DP have made finding perfect sliders next to impossible or a life-long task and I'm not up for it.

The game probably produces real results with everything at 25 by then end of the season lol but that doesn't help the animations any. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired of Maddens quirks lol.

                            yeah whosnext00 suggestion worked great

you can put INT at 22 and increase Reaction time to 10 or you use INT at 32 and go without any Reaction Time

Also I think i'm going to make the passing game a little more open but that easy because i might increase the INT slider for the CPU up to 60 (something I've been wanting to do for a awhile now)

Counter that move by allowing the Human player to use the full 100 passing chart value

                            CPU Pass Defense would be

                            10
                            64
                            100

Or I might reduce their reaction time and use the INT slider only

                            0
                            74
                            100

The INT slider can actually being used to simulate their actual coverage skills...and remember earlier that when i had CPU int slider at 80 they were really stellar and it didn't feel unrealistic because I've always kept the Pass Reaction slider down low.

                              that's interesting whosnext00

are you saying the more CAP's you create for franchise mode ruins the game with freezes?

Just curious because I'm a big classic roster guy and I've been creating guys like Michael Irvin and Troy Aikman....

Should i be using the default rosters from here on out to make classic players in order for the game to not freeze in franchise mode?

I'd hate to create a ton of players and not be ablt use them in franchise mode as I prefer the old school players for that style of play

For those who didn't get the update using whosenext idea for Human Int's

This is where we are at and i have one last test i'm going to do with CPU INT up higher (60 or above) that will tigthen up their pass defense without inflating their Pass Reaction slider.

But there has to be fine drawn because if you stray too far in seperation between the Reaction Time and INT slider they will go for all picks and give up big more big plays if they pick it off.

                                Broken Tackles-0/8
                                Run Block-0/34
                                Fumbles-24/60

                                DEFENSE
Pass Reaction Time-10/10........(You can also use Pass Reaction at 0 with INT slider at 32 for Human)
                                INT-22/52
                                Pass Rush-56/96

                                Run Reaction Time-4/24
                                Block Shed-20/10
                                Tackle-0/20

Also for those who are getting a high percentage of completions keep in mind as i've stated a few time before the Human Player was given and additional 6 point boost to each QB's WR catch slider. The base setting should technically be 54 not 60.

So if you don't need the extra 6 point boost don't use it or else you can reduce your QBA slider down 2-4 clicks to adjust it that way.

This how the base setting would have been based on actual avg's for the passing game

                                QBA-22
                                Pass Block-74
                                Wr Catch-54

If you notice those avg somehow came out to exactly 150 overall the same as it would have been out of the box at 50/50/50 for Human passing game.

So the avg's i came up with matched perfectly to the overall passing game slider value.

Heck you could even play that way without even using the chart if you so desire
