Re: Dark Souls (PS3/360)
Loving the game... has anyone ventured to the Catacombs? Its near the graveyard area.. anyhow, the skeletons in the graveyard I can kill no problem, but for some reason the first skeleton at the Catacombs never dies, even after I reduce his health to nothing
Anyone seeing this?Comment

hahaha. I shut the game down, turned on NCAA, put it on veteran and tore apart the CPU just to feel good about myself again.Comment

I have fond memories of rage quitting in Demon Souls on PS3 lol...man these games can just piss you off so badly.
It usually is good to cool off and come back later, then you figure it out somehow.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Dark Souls (PS3/360)
LOL... so I finally beat my first regular boss (Bridge guy in Undead Burg) on about my 5th try, only to now be screwed going three different directions. I know I can beat the guy down the stairs but he's oh so annoying.SpoilerOne-hit kill everytime
So, thinking it may be time to backtrack to the starting bonfire area to explore some other areas.
I take back what I said about it not being that hard last night.Comment

What is the benefit of using a humanity pt to make yourself human at the bonfires?"Good music transcends all physical limits, it's more then something you hear, it's something that you feel, when the author, experience, and passion is real" - Murs (And this is for)Comment

Re: Dark Souls (PS3/360)
I'm playing as the thief so that I can start out with the master key and choose another item. You don't have to equip keys if you have it then the door should just unlock by pressing X (on ps3). And the merchant with the writing tool is not in that area, he is in Undead Burg. Yup, the messages are awesome, and if you write your own the game keeps track and let's you know how well rated it is.Wow..the fact that I missed that..haha. I need to start over then. I was reading that Pyromancer is the best class to play as...what classes are you guys using?
I am not sure I understand how to use the keys..example..I got 2 keys in the tut area..Before you jump down and kill the boss there is the knight you can fight to the right side. Even though I had 2 keys I am not sure if I selected the proper one in the menu to use it..anyway, that door was locked the whole time and it was driving me nuts. I am guessing that is where the merchant is.
I love the message system..that is genius..the fact that you can jump in and fight other players at some point is completely awesome. So far I am all about the game. I think I just accepted it is going to be super hard and adjusted from there.
You just need to equip it, cycle to it with d-pad down, and then press the use button. Just remember that keeping them as an undead soul item saves it from being lost if you die! I tend to avoid carrying too many souls at once and instead spend them by leveling up at bon fires. Better to put them to good use than wanting to snap the game in half

Yup. Think of it like a bank for your souls, and you only pull out cash when you need it
