Try shutting down your game and re-launching it.

I have the same issue after setting up My2k player when I put the game in for the first time

My2k name: bcruise, same as here. PC version, if that matters.

Pretty sure mine is at least in the system, yahoo email though.

So you have to do this to go online and play team up?

Does the account need to be set up through the game using xbox live? Can the account be created on a regular computer?

When you're logged online, you will automatically create your account via console.

So I won't need to log online on a computer after I submit my info? I don't have a pc at home, only the 360 with internet.

I won't be able to check for another hour or 2, but is the issue pretty much resolved?

You will eventually need to click the URL in the verification e-mail. You have 24 hours to do so to continue playing online. I'm here to aid those who click and "invalid" link in the email, or don't receive their email at all.
