No idea if this is common knowledge or not, but I assumed since you can't define a difficulty level (i.e. All pro, All Madden etc) plus define sliders like you used to be able to, that the difficulty level was made redundant.
Well, seems this isn't the case - I decided to lower the human pass catching from 60 to 50 with this slider set and something odd happened. My kicking and punting meter doubled in speed! I tested putting WR catch back to 60 and it went back to being slow again.
I'm guessing what's happening here is by dropping human catching from 60 to 50, the collective difficulty of the custom slider set went from "all pro" to "all madden", hence triggering some gameplay mechanisms in the process. Unless I'm imagining things, I also noticed Jackson is far less accurate at QB now (a good thing), and I know Madden used to deploy better CPU play calling when playing on All Madden, so perhaps this is true too? I've played two games like this now and it's hard to tell but the CPU have definitely been more competitive.
