Re: Your Thoughts On NBA Greatest
Great mode. I thought I wouldn't even touch it but now without the rookies and online being shaky it's all I play. I particulary love playing with both of magic lakers. I wish we could use those filters in other modes as well since they look fantastic.“If you meet the Buddha in the lane, feed him the ball.”-Phil Jackson

Re: Your Thoughts On NBA Greatest
nba greatest. this is what i play regularly on my pc. i love the overall presentation made by 2k (although we lack the grainy audio in the 1960s celtics game). i wish charles barkley's one of the featured legends here with his 93 suns team.Comment

Re: Your Thoughts On NBA Greatest
im not gon lie at first i wasnt that big of a fan and just wanted to get through it, but when you sit down with it a look back on memories of your favorite players going up its like being able to go back in time in play all my old sega and snes games with better graphics and with the lockout nbatv is showing all these classic teams in action. I love run tmc so much more after watchin a classic game, this may be one of the greatest modes in a game ive playedComment

Re: Your Thoughts On NBA Greatest
I love it! Playing games in the early 90s, gameplay & graphics were pretty crude. I don't think the post game existed before 2000 something! I do wish they could get the organ sound right for Madison Square Garden but that's beyond nit picking!!! The players look & play so much like I remember! This & last yrs game totally reinvigorated my interest in bball games!Comment

Re: Your Thoughts On NBA Greatest
I haven't played it yet, but can any of you tell me if Dr. J has his own dunk package? as far as I can tell he doesn't. This makes me a sad panda. I'd play the game for hours on end to rock the cradle* just once.

Re: Your Thoughts On NBA Greatest
I have unlocked 8 of the 15 legends games. The history of the players and rivalries between some of these teams provide some **** battles and enjoyment that i do not feel when playing the current era teams.
I like when your flipping through the d pad on the fly menus and only see a man to man defense available. As soon as i unlock some more legend teams im going to try some 4 out 7 playoff battles with some of these great matchups.Comment

Re: Your Thoughts On NBA Greatest
It's tremendous and why I bought the game. This is getting closer to what I imagined sports games being from my fantasies 20 years ago. Authentic looking and playing players from multiple eras. If 2k made a football game with this mode I might not leave the house.Comment

Re: Your Thoughts On NBA Greatest
Pretty much what everyone else has said. I got 2k11 just for the Jordan mode and the classic teams. I was a huge basketball fan in the 80s and 90s but found my interest waning as the great players of that era left the game. As was said before, this is like a modern day version of the great NBA games from the Sega Genesis era with all the great players I remembered watching on the games of the week. Maybe next season they can add the Dream Teams and reimagine the EA games which basically featured the teams in the playoffs for various years and replay them and change history."I don't want them to like me, because when I'm in the ring, punches fly to the face. It is not a tenderness time. I am not falling in love. And he knows that when the fight starts I kick faces." Wanderlei Silva XBL: muaithaikoComment

Re: Your Thoughts On NBA Greatest
I'm loving it! The details that went into the different eras is such a nice touch which really separates the experience from the other game modes. I also feel like the different eras play significantly different than the modern day games. I've been particularly enjoying the pre-3 point line games.
Last year when they introduced the Jordan Challenges I honestly didn't think I was going to get into it but it turned out being an extremely rewarding and entertaining experience. This year's NBA Greatest Mode really does build upon last year's mode and takes it to a wonderfully nostalgic new level!Comment

Re: Your Thoughts On NBA Greatest
I know it's bad on our pockets, but I'm really hoping this is all building to 2k releasing a separate Legends game next year. I would, without a doubt, by any Legends specific game building off of the last two years. Having different commentators (Marv Albert, Bob Costas, Ahmad Rashad etc.), Tons of more teams (all time team for each franchise, multiple years of all star teams, dream teams, every NBA championship matchup, tons of real legend free agents to add to teams), era specific presentations, black top mode (where you can pick jerseys like you could in early 2k games), fully customizable rosters and maybe, just MAYBE try to license some college bball squads (license isn't doing anything) to create a story mode. For instance, Magic and Bird start in the famous college ball title game matchup and you then walk their career through HOF a la My Player mode. But we can play key games as Jordan at UNC, Ewing G'Town, Lew/Kareen UCLA etc..
Not only would I pay $60 for this game, I would be willing to pay $100 and I would pre pay for any DLC lol."I strive to be live cause I got no choice" - CL Smooth
