Can you hit people through the glass?

I have yet to see someone get hit threw the glass into the stands. Is this possible?

I have seen the glass get shattered from hits about 20 times so far and it hasn't happened so I doubt it, but I would love to be proven wrong !!

I've broken the glass with a hit, but didn't send him through the glass.

I've had it happen so often that I wish there was a slider to be able to turn it down. Kind of like the inclusion of broken sticks last year which was kind of overstated. These are features EA put in and decided to showcase, when in reality it happens so infrequently in reality that it kind of hurts the overall experience of the gameplay (imho). At least with the broken sticks we have a slider to reduce their frequency to be more realistic. Now, I don't mind them at all. They happen just often enough to be realistic.

The glass breaking? Notsomuch. It's kind of neat, but overall, happens so randomly that it appears more 'random' than based on the physics engine. I've seen the glass break more often on little bumps in the corner than from hard hits or shots. I'd say it breaks, on average, it about 15-20% of my games (offline).

It really seems to be hit or miss with this... I'm yet to see the glass break. Mostly been playing EASHL though, not sure if they took the feature out of that mode for some reason?

Nope I was checked into the glass in EASHL the other night and it shattered.

Shattered glass. I've seen it once in about 60 games of BaGM.

FWIW, I only play offline, and have not gone into season mode yet, only "Play Now." So no idea if it's toned down in other modes.

It took me like 42 BEAGM games to see the glass shatter, and since then it's happened so often. One time I didn't even hit the guy into the boards. I hit him along them, not into them, and the glass shattered. I also hit a guy a little bit before the boards, and he barely hit the glass and it shattered.

I don't get why EA insists on adding things like this, don't they realize the novelty were's off after a while? I've never even actually seen the glass break while watching a hockey game IRL. I've seen it on Don Cherry and on SportsCenter, but I've never seen it live before.

Adding this stuff is fine to add to the realism - I love little stuff like if one of my stars breaks his stick, a nearby defenseman will hand him his stick. That's great. The glass breaking is neat, but like you said, it happens so rarely that it should happen very infrequently. They should add a slider to adjust as well.

In the 140 games I've played online, only once has the glass broken and it wasn't from a huge hit or anything so even if you could send someone through it, the hit wouldn't have been able to.

I was just about to post about how i hadn't seen it in almost 30 games now...then Polak was literally bumped and it shattered. He didn't even fall, just moved slightly. I guess he has explosive shoulder pads.
