    Re: Dark Souls (PS3/360)

Sometimes I actually enjoy dying, like when I leaped behind the black knight to grab the blue tearstone ring in undead burg. I leapt down, knowing the black knight was going to destroy me (again), but I grabbed the ring before he slaughtered me. I expected my stain to be down below, the ring was worth the souls, but tomy surprise the stain was above so I was able to get the ring and keep my souls.

It also amuses me the occasional awkward situation by the fire, finding yourself sitting on a guy's lap that wasn't there a second ago.

I'm so paranoid about dieing and losing my souls. This game is going to drive me nuts.

That's why you spend them when you have em. If you're running around with less than 500 souls or so it doesn't really matter if you die.

Is this game going to be like Demon's Souls where if you hit like level 100+, you hardly find anyone else within the same level range? So essentially, you're playing by yourself unless you restricted yourself to a certain level. I know, it's probably much too early to tell.

That place is aweome for farming souls. You need to stay close to the stairwell and shoot an arrow at the guy standing by the tree then let him come to you and then kill him and you get 2000 souls. If you go too far though a tough enemy will come out, but as long as you draw the first guy out it's 2000 a pop.

Thanks, someone told me a couple days ago. I'm trying as hard as I can to play this blind but I'm also glad to know it wasn't a waste of souls. I can actually take them on now if I want to .

I effing hate this Sen's Fortress. This is the first level that has really gotten to me. Went through the whole level three times without finding a bonfire. I eventually find it and realize I was right there every time I died. And don't even get me started on the boss fight. So annoying.

You can rebuild souls so easily though. You can farm a couple hundred a minute in most bonfire areas, and leveling up isn't nearly as important as having good equipment.

Here is a soul farming glitch I found on the Red Dragon bridge. Do not know if it has been mentioned but just in case:

My body is at work and my mind is on that bridge with the dragon. Can't wait to see what happens next....

I've died a lot but my last 3 days have been spent this exact same way. Wondering what will happen next and fine tuning my strategy.

Like a boulder rolling down the stairs... This game came out of nowhere!

Just shoo the dragon away then clear the bridge and the spot where you fight the fang boar (entrance to undead parrish). I farmed a good 4000 souls there in no time to buy the repair kit then repair everything in my inventory.

Anyway, to make things quicker just shoot the dragon in the tail then run back to bonfire.

Where do you buy the repair kit?

Also how do you time the parry? I get it about 50% of the time. Is there a trick?

I restarted the game with a Pyromancer and am enjoying that character.
