So am I alone on this? Has anybody moved, or been thinking of moving back to 2k11 for their videogames hoops fix?

2k11, I'm Coming Home!
Yep, NBA 2k12 was a nice distraction, the game had a lot of cool improvements, but I just value gameplay balance above all else. So, with that in mind, I'm ditching 2k12 and going back to 2k11. I played them both back to back today, and though I love the animations and smoothness of 2k12, the overall experience in 2k11 was so much better. My teammates were actually helping, fouls weren't called anytime the cpu got in the lane, you could pass on fast breaks, I wasn't scoring 35 points a quarter....it was great.

Ummm 2K11 with my Knicks on Super Star I averaged 120 with the knicksYep, NBA 2k12 was a nice distraction, the game had a lot of cool improvements, but I just value gameplay balance above all else. 2K12 same sliders and I am lucky to hit 105 from time to time
There is nothing that 2k11 does better on the court then 2k12
Jumping for a block in front of the player was easy since you could jump 2 times while he was in the air. In 2K you are punished for leaving your feet like you should
I thought last year was great sim but not anymore after this year

LOL
Wow, glad the game is working out that way or you. For me, I have to work NOT to score on offense, and heck even if I do get in any sort of trouble, I can just hoist a three and watch it go in 9/10 times. Still, with all the awesome new additions, I wish I was having your experience.Ummm 2K11 with my Knicks on Super Star I averaged 120 with the knicks

Re: 2k11, I'm Coming Home!
I've called it quits on 2K12 after getting bumped and held too much (see my post http://www.operationsports.com/forum...g-holding.html)
I think I'll go back to 2K11. Normally, I'd suffer without a good sports game until next year, but I've found that despite the bad responsiveness with the controls in 2K11, I've enjoyed it longer than most sports games. I'll probably play a few games here and there, but really just be deprived of a good sports game until next year when I have to cross my fingers again and hope 2K or EA haven't once again made a great game with one great flaw.Comment

Re: 2k11, I'm Coming Home!
2k12 is way too good to go back, even with its flaws....
and if 2k's history of great patches holds true....I have no reason to even look at 2k11...Comment

Re: 2k11, I'm Coming Home!
Same here, as it's going to be a little rough playing the same game for 2 years. But hey, I skipped 2k9 and 2k10, so one year shouldn't be a big deal. The last thing I may do is run through the full training camp mode, but the last thing I need is more offensive tools lol.I've called it quits on 2K12 after getting bumped and held too much (see my post http://www.operationsports.com/forum...g-holding.html)

Re: 2k11, I'm Coming Home!
That is the only thing I'm worried about, selling the game and then having the patch be awesome. You never know though, I hated the patch for 2k11.Comment

Re: 2k11, I'm Coming Home!
I might sign up too brahs. I had more fun playing 2k11. 2k12 is like a spoiled girlfriend who's very pretty but have a ****ty attitude. Until she fixes her attitude, I'm going back to 2k11, who's not as pretty but i could put up with her.Comment

Re: 2k11, I'm Coming Home!
I never left home. 2K11 still is in strong rotation after being played for 10 straight months non-stop.
I have not played 2K12. So I can not comment at all on this years effort.
I can say I will purchase it next year at a nice discount, plus it will be patched and rosters will accurate with rookies etc and I look forward to diving into the Legends mode big time. I am also very giddy about 2K12's first class presentation. I am sure the game will kick all kinds of serious *** and I will probably be in Legend heaven!!!
But when it comes to Association and classic roster seasons...it is all about 2K11. Which is still my GOAT sports game until further notice. Now Playing on PS5:
