The Art Modifications/Updates Thread

I decided to start this thread just to make use of 2K's new feature: updatable graphic stuff, bc 2K said that they will be able to update this kind of stuff this year:
“Through Living Rosters, we will continue to modify a player's on-court abilities as we have the past few years; but, for the first time, we can modify art without submitting a full patch update. “

Knowing that lockout will last at least a month, I think it's the right time for 2K to start updating all the features that are a little off. If you have more suggestions feel free to add them!

1.Nike iD - Great new feature for this year but with a huuuuuuge letdown: It doesn’t allow us to make different color combinations for away games. Since 80% of the NBA players change their shoe color from home to away this should definitely be added. Moreover shoes added to Nike iD should also be available to edit ‘em the traditional way (base, team color 1 and team color 2).
Eric Boenisch confirmed there will be no changes in this feature at least for this year's game

2.Wrong uniform/sock/shoe combinations - there’re a lot of mistakes which come from 2K10 first roster. Here it is how it should be:
a. HEAT: black socks/shoes away
b. THUNDER: black socks/shoes away
c. BULLS: white socks/ shoes @home
d. PACERS: black socks/shoes away
e. KINGS: white socks/shoes @home
f. NETS: black socks/shoes away
g. BLAZERS: white socks/shoes @home
h. *WIZARDS: white socks/shoes away (picture on page 5)

3.Fixed Air Jordan/Adidas models - Last year it was one of the main complaints from sneakerheads and this year it’s still the same. We should be allowed to make things like this:

Other shoes that need to be fixed + tips on how to do it (pages on which they are between brackets):
Adizero Rose 2.0 (9), Jordan CP 2'Quick (10), Zoom LeBron 8 V1, Jordan 2011 A Flight, Jordan XI, Jordan VI (11), Jordan XIII (13), Adidas Stupidly Light (17).

4.Nick Young and Michael Beasley - their appearances should be updated:

5. Team Colors - Since 2K10 they have been exactly the same. Team colors should be updated to let us make the color combinations teams make in real life with their uniforms/ accessories. Xbox360 users can do it with the hex editor, but PS3 users can’t do anything about it but asking for it, so these are the main changes that should be made:

a.CELTICS
2K12: TC1: green/green TC2: white/ white
How it should be: TC1: green/green TC2: white/ black
The most of Celtics players wear white accessories @ home and black away
b.NETS
2k12: TC1: red/navy TC2: navy/red
How it should be: TC1: red/red TC2: white/ navy
This would let us make most of the combinations NJN use.
c.KNICKS
2k12: TC1: orange/ blue TC2: blue/ orange
How it should be: TC1: blue/blue TC2: orange/ black
This team is hard to fix, but this combination would allow us to make orange sleeves @ home and black away.
d.76ERS
2k12: TC1: blue/red TC2: red/ blue
How it should be: TC1: red/red TC2: white/blue
This change would let us make the sleeve color combinations 76ers have.
e.CAVS
2k12: TC1: red/red TC2: yellow/yellow
How it should be: TC1: red/red TC2: white/black
Cavs players almost never wear yellow accessories, plus white/black combination would let us replicate their sleeves combination.
f.HAWKS
2K12: TC1: navy/navy TC2: red/red
How it should be: TC1: red/red TC2: white/navy
This would let us replicate arm/knee sleeves color combinations Hawks wear.
g.BOBCATS
2K12: TC1: navy/navy TC2: orange/orange
How it should be: TC1: orange/orange TC2: white/black
Bobcats never wore blue accessories last season. Mostly they wore white @ home and black away.
h.MAVS
2K12: TC1: navy/navy TC2: blue/blue
How it should be: TC1: blue/blue TC2: white/navy
Mavs usually wear white accessories @ home and navy away.
i.ROCKETS
2K12: TC1: red/red TC2: white/white
How it should be: TC1: red/red TC2: white/black
Would let us replicate rockets arm/knee sleeves combinations.
j.GRIZZLIES
2K12: TC1: navy/navy TC2: light blue/ light blue
How it should be: TC1: navy/navy TC2: yellow/yellow
No point on light blue accessories, they never wear them.
k.NUGGETS
2K12: TC1: light blue/light blue TC2: yellow/yellow
How it should be: TC1: navy/navy TC2: white/ light blue
Most of Nuggets players wear navy calf sleeves + combinations of white for home/ light blue for away accessories.
l.WOLVES
2K12: TC1: blue/blue TC2: white/green
How it should be: TC1: blue/blue TC2: white/black
Wolves never wear green accessories. Instead they usually wear white for home/black for away gear.
m.THUNDER
2k12: TC1: light blue/light blue TC2: orange/orange
How it should be: TC1: navy/navy TC2: orange/orange
OKC players never wear light blue accessories. They usually wear navy arm/knee sleeves.
n.JAZZ
2K12: TC1: navy/navy TC2: yellow/yellow
How it should be: TC1: navy/navy TC2: white/black
Jazz almost never wore yellow accessories. White/black combination would be very useful for arm sleeves.
o.WARRIORS
2K12: TC1: blue/blue TC2: yellow/yellow
How it should be: TC1: blue/blue TC2: white/black
A bunch of GST players wear white for home/black for away accessories in arms and legs.
p.RAPTORS
2K12: TC1: red/red TC2: black/black
How it should be: TC1: red/red TC2: white/black
This would help to represent Raptors arm sleeves: white for home, black for away.


6. Ankle Braces - every time an ankle brace is used, the sock disappears. We should be able to combine them!

7. Headband colors - some headband colors should be fixed/updated:

Team - 2K(home/away) - How it should be (home/away)

76ers - red/red - white/red
Bucks - green/green - white/red
Cavs - white/red - white/yellow
Knicks - white/orange - orange/black
Pacers - navy/navy - white/navy
Raptors - white/white - white/black
Rockets - red/red - white/red
Timberwolves - grey/grey - white/black
Blazers - red/red - white/black

Update Headband colors for home/away teams.

As a Raptors fan here are the changes that 2K should make for Canada's team:

Raptors wear white headbands at home which is correct but it should be black for away (red uniforms)!

Also accessory/sleeve should be white at home and black on the road.

James Johnson with shaved head please.

Also featured player (quick play, intro song) for the Raptors shouldn't be Jose Calderon, it should be either Demar Derozan or Andrea Bargnani.

Celtics are white/white home and green/black away.
Cavs actually do wear yellow, it should be white/white home yellow/black away for them.

The thing with this method is certain team would end up just being white/white or black/black.

2k13 needs an additional option to primary and secondary color. They need like a white home, black away option.

my suggestion(s):

The Pistons' bad boys era throwback uniform isn't correct. Stripes on the side are wrong on both home and away. and the away jersey is supposed to say "Pistons" instead of Detroit. 2K has the correct uniforms on the classic team, so I'd imagine it'd be be relatively easy to give it to the current team

That's the point, I don't see 2k letting default shoes be completely white or completely black...

I thought you were going for complete accuracy while sacrificing the team colors for sneakers.

I agree then with giving the Celtics green and white home and green and black on the road.

LOL!No bad feelings towards 2K, just helping them a little bit to improve the game. For what I know some threads helped them to make the game better.

You can get it with Team Color 2.

Ya, but when you use the alternate black jerseys, the accessory/arm sleeve turns white instead of being black.

side note: i wish 2K would just give us a full color palette for the accessories. and give us an option that prevents roster updates from overriding our accessories.

i think it'd clear up a lot of common complaints

The home & away jerseys are wrong too. They have to put the red maple leaf (like on the black alternates) above the players name on the home white & red away jerseys.

Knicks Missing accessories- Orange sleeves and headbands at HOME and Black away- Hex knee pads white @ home and Black away

Melo- missing NBA logo(towards back), Both "PADDED" arm sleeves, long calf sleeves with socks

Amare- Double Med. Socks, Hex Knee pads,

Sha. Williams- med socks, Hex Knee pads, Low nike's

L.Feilds- med. socks, sneakers Kobe's

Ronny- med. socks, low nike's
