I would like to hear reasons why you're playing on the difficulty that you're playing on right now.

Is gameplay better? CPU Superstars act like themselves? More realistic stats?

Just for a quick challenge, I went and played WAS @ CHI. D-Rose wasn't agressive for the first 3 minutes, and then went nuts. I had to stop the game, little girl woke up, but through 9 minutes D-Rose had 8 points, on 2-4 shooting and 4/6FTS, 3 assists, and 3 steals.

Pretty much tore me up after dishing out 3 quick assists. I saw no problem with the way he played on PRO/SIM.

I've been playing on superstar, beat the greatest games on superstar, but really I like HOF, I don't think it's really any harder than superstar but it's much more realistic to me

One reason I play on Superstar is because I can dominate with the Nets on All Star. It should be a challenge to dominate with a team like that and done strategicly.

I confess this old man is rocking it on ROOKIE/sim until I finish training camp and learn the controls and unlock the classic teams.

I didnt play offline much at all last year, so I am getting my @#$ handed to me on all-star. I beat teams easily with out thinking on pro, but as soon as I jump to all star, im down by 20 if I blink too slow. I love the challenge but it can be frustrating.

I'm looking to start an online association, n its really feeling like the difficulty level will be between AS n Sup. Playing the CPU on AS feels a bit easy wit a good shooter. But on sup the CPU makes ridiculous shoots lol. I need help deciding

                      Pro / Sim

Works perfectly for now but probably not future wise.

Re: Which Difficuly Settings do you Play on?

The very first time I played 2K12 (the retail version), I played on All-Star/Sim and only lost by one point to the Knicks with the New Jersey Nets. That was when I played the game in Gamestop on 5 minute quarters. So when I bought the game, I immediately played on Superstar/Sim and got blown out. As I got better, I was losing games by 8-10 points, but the scores would be in the high 120's (I play on 12 mins quarters). I tried out All-Star and noticed that it was a challenge too, plus the CPU played more human like by not reacting to every thing supernaturally like the do on Superstar and above.

I no longer play on Simulation, however. Just like last year's game, I'm finding that Simulation isn't a true representation of the free flowing nature of NBA basketball; it's more a forced way of playing the game from a halfcourt perspective. Things like the steal success being low and steal attempts being at 5 just didn't seem like real basketball to me. Plus, I'm noticing that by putting the steal success and steal tendency back at 50, the live ball physics are more at play, leading to more scrambles for loose balls, something I wasn't seeing on the simulation setting. Also, I think upping the contact sliders negates the addition of having a new collision system, so I play with those sliders at default too.

I also play with quickness at 30 as I found players changing directions too quickly at the default setting. I left the shooting sliders at their simulation settings, other than lowering mid and 3 pt shooting to about 47 for both. I was still able to go 7 for 10 from 3 last night with Brandon Jennings, but I haven't tested it enough to see if this would happen every single game. I'm cool as long as it's not a regular occurrence, although the shots were wide open 3's, and Brandon Jennings is a halfway decent shooter when left open.

Pro/Sim - for the legends greatest mode.

All Star/Sim - for everything else. Sliders are adjusted for 3 pointers, mid range, clutch off, cpu commit fouls, steal success, steal tendency and offensive rebounds.

Well for online association i would choose no higher then allstar difficulty because the admin has no controls to set sliders currently.

Right now, sticking with Pro. I've never been great with isomotion, so playing Pro and running plays has been my MO for years (I play offline).

However, after completing Training Camp, I'm a bit more comfortable with some of the isomotion stuff. I'm hoping that by the time the lockout ends, I will have mastered some of it to move up to AS.
Magic and Noles,Knights that are gold, these are a few of my favorite things...
