Grant Hill needs to make open midrange jump shots

I just got lit up by a cheeser who had Ray Allen score 40 points - all on 3-pointers - even after adjusting to play him tight & pressure shooters in the first quarter. He must have been 85% on 3-pointers.

Meanwhile, Grant Hill shoots under 50% on open midrange jumpers. I mean I got him serious separation on each attempt. Either he wasn't being guarded at all, or I got several feet between him and the defender.

One particular miss had an announcer saying that wasn't his range. Seriously? Other than driving in for layups, that's his game. I knew early I was going to lose because every shot my opponent put up was a 3-pointer, and nearly 100% of them went in. So I figured, win or lose, I'm going to try and emulate the real NBA/Suns. But if Grant Hill can't hit open 15-18 footers, than it's impossible to emulate the real thing.
