The 2007 "We Believe" Warriors will take on the current Warriors in an exhibition game to be played October 29 at the San Jose State Event Center.

Jason Richardson, Matt Barnes, Kelenna Azubuike and Anthony Morrow are confirmed for the team of former Warriors. Barnes is recruiting Baron Davis, Stephen Jackson and Al Harrington.

Stephen Curry highlights the confirmations from the current Warriors roster. Dorell Wright, Jeremy Lin, Charlie Bell and rookie Jeremy Tyler are also confirmed to play for the 2011-12 Warriors, and Monta Ellis and David Lee are being recruited.

"It's the first chance to see the rookies and a chance to see the 'We Believe' team reunited," said Rasheed Malek, whose firm, AVE-HM Media, is handling the promotion of the game. "And it's the only basketball around here for months."

That We Believe team is still one of my favorite teams I enjoyed to watch, especially during that run up into the Playoffs and atmosphere at the Oracle Arena was just crazy.

Which team will Biedrins and Ellis play for? Ellis was huge off the bench for that 2007 team.

and if the 2007 Warriors can't get Jackson, Harrington, or Davis, it's really going to lose it's appeal (to me). I hope those guys agree to participate!

Agreed. That team was awesome... Loved watching their push through the playoffs. The Oracle was mad crazy that year.

baron davis said on twitter that he has no part in the game. but Matt Barnes also said on twitter that this game is happening and seems pretty hyped about it.

Excellent idea, though it sounds like it may come up a few stars short.

I'd be okay with an '04 Pistons vs. '11 Pistons matchup. But only if the stars commit. Darko vs. Charlie can't be the headliner.
