Re: Madden NFL 12 Title Update #2 Details
Am I disappointed that this patch doesn't fix everything? Sure. I wish don't like having to do all the preseason cuts by hand but I have it down to a science and can get through it in 30 minutes or so...and that only happens ONCE every off-season.
Game killing? No. Broken? No. Poorly programmed? Sure. But this is an all-around great game. Could use new audio and better depth in Franchise but every year this game is showing improvement.
Look at NCAA. Look at NBA 2k12 online. Look at the freezes and bugs. Madden has had sooooooo few serious issues compared to these two releases.Don't look back too long and don't look too far ahead.Comment

For whatever reason, people like to moan about Madden no matter what. It'll never stop, no matter how good the game gets. i think a lot of these people look forward to the release not to play it, but to bash it online.Am I disappointed that this patch doesn't fix everything? I'm sure there are some people out there like that. Then again some people have a legit argument. The franchise has many issues this year and I can't believe that EA didn't know about most of these before the release date. It's as if they sold an unfinished product while claiming that it was the best Madden to date. If I would have known about all the franchise issues I would have waited to buy the game until they were fixed. Then I could have gotten it either used or from a place like toys-r-us at a cheaper price. I wish they wouldn't have put a gag order on all of the people who got the game early, I'm sure they could have informed us of all the issues the game had and people like me wouldn't have taken EA for their word and bought a game that has done nothing but collect dust on my shelf.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 12 Title Update #2 Details
I think Madden is held to a higher standard because it has been mediocre the last few years so a lot of it is backlash and pent up anger and also a lot of people love NFL football more than any other sports so they get mad if its not perfectLast edited by kjjnesb; 10-13-2011, 05:58 PM.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 12 Title Update #2 Details
I do have to say, the UDFA sizes and shoulderpads issue, while hardly the issue others have made it out to be, is disappointing.
When I see a UDFA that is 6' 4" 383lbs, I would like him to not look like Terrell Owens.
This is an overarching problem with the way Tiburon/EA treats player sizes in general. I mean, go look at Vince Wilfork, and then look at his Madden representation. LOL
Even Michael Jasper, who they added to the later roster updates, 6' 4" 395lbs, they still made far to svelte. Maybe it is an issue with not wanting to offend players.
I'm curious as to why this wasn't included in the patch though.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 12 Title Update #2 Details
According to the franchise developer on Twitter several weeks ago, it's not a bug.
Who knows, maybe it will take longer to rectify and they include it in a future patch or fix it for 13 and beyond.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 12 Title Update #2 Details
I've read the whole "Undrafted Free Agents Invading Franchise" but can't really get an accurate grasp about how bad the issue is (just now starting my franchise).
Exactly how horrible is it? Just wondering because, despite what a lot of people think or say, EA is pretty good @ delivering fixes for bugs and glitches in their games (better than most). And for them not to consider UnDrafted FA's a problem, I must question exactly how terrible it is...EXPERIENCE MAYHEM FOOTBALLComment

There's FAKE, random players that are on every teams' rosters when u first start ur franchise...Some of them get kept on a team's roster because they have a higher *potential* then current players even tho they really stink....Hence, draft picks (in some cases, HIGH draft picks) get cut in favor of these fake scrubs....U decide how terrible this is?I've read the whole "Undrafted Free Agents Invading Franchise" but can't really get an accurate grasp about how bad the issue is (just now starting my franchise).

I see the disdain here... Not liking the initial blow of fake players being kept and actual, sometimes high draft picks that are real players, being cut.
But, one way or another, after a while, everyone on the game is fake, whether using Madden created draft picks or NCAA classes.

However, teams keeping some of these players because they have a higher potential really doesn't seem too far fetched to me. However, cutting players drafted that year in favor of udfa is disappointing. My question is though, to what extent?EXPERIENCE MAYHEM FOOTBALLComment

I believe he was trying to say that the CPU see's that a player rating is high before their real rating is revealed which keeps that player on the team. The cpu cut logic is just terrible plain and simple. Also they should not be cutting draft picks to make room on the depth chart for udfa.I see the disdain here... I can't give u an exact number because I controlled all 32 teams so I cut all of the UDFA's from each team's roster before Week 1 of the preseason so I wouldn't have to go through that mess....I get the bold part but when u actually place them on the depth chart, their OVR rating is pretty badI see the disdain here...
