Still no patch and no announcement for patch #3... well I guess halfway throught the real NFL season we'll be able to start our franchises... Dang it! Why do I always buy this crap game!

You keep buying because this game is like crack. It will never be as good as your first hit. I'm guilty of this too. I just sometimes overlook the flaws and play the.game to my liking.

Hmmm. That's a bummer. Is it like this for all UFAs at all positions? And is it like this for all draft class members?

I wonder why they wouldn't let us edit body types and shoulder pad width but would allow us to edit shoulder pad height, all other equipment, and attributes?

If it's just the UFAs, I'll edit them all down to 0, but if it's the draft classes too then that's another story.

It's all incoming rookies, whether from generated draft classes or from NCAA imports. As these players take over the NFL it begins to look like a Transformers league. Ugly, distractiing, completely unacceptable. And completely ignored by EA in the patch.

If you intend to work a franchise for 5+ seasons this'll annoy most of you.

Im 50/50 on this patch... He is what I think;


The bad

-UDFA invasion due to poor CPU cut logic not fixed. (But you can just edit UDFA's to be P's or K's and they get cut anyways.)
-Super LB's not fixed.
-Injury severity not fixed! Crowded IR lists on CPU teams causes them not fill the minimum # of reqired players, and then causes franchises to freeze.
-Does not address lack of pressure from LE's/RE's.. nor does it address finesse moves being useless.
-Not much gameplay tuning

The good

-Fixed commentary and PA announcers! No more calling guys only by their jersey #'s! No more popping hopefully.
-It says they fixed many common crashes/freezes. Lets hope so.
-Fixed player roles being lost by editing.
-Fixed (supposedly) the rain in franchise mode. (I CANT beleive they wont just allow us to edit weather on franchise mode... UGG. but at least there will be less games in gale-force hurricane rain.)
-Fixed some online exploits. Dont play online much, but good to see.
-They fixed the field for PS3 users! (Im a 360 user, but Im glad they fixed this for Playstation people)

i was waiting on the patch to start playing M12, hoping they would fix those issues.

looks like im stickin with M11.

playbooks and player editing being fixed are very nice.
but c'mon, DE's not gettin correct pressure has plagued this gen's madden games for years and so has sim injuries...but we dont get a fix???

and to top it off,they are just gonna ignore the UDFA problem.

^^Really? You expected them to deliver a complete game? They haven't done so in years and still managed to sell millions of copies. Until EA sees a dip in their profits expect to see the same game year in and year out. They'll hype it up at the beginning of the year, bring back some features they took out a few years back and everyone will be on board, we'll buy the game then this time next year we'll be complaining again. It's a never ending cycle.

Madden patch still isn't out?

I traded mine in a few weeks ago, couldn't handle the franchise stuff, that's the sole reason why i play madden. It's still not getting addressed in patch #2.

Funniest thing is, most of these guys whining are the same guys that say this same garbage every year, yet continue buying it every year knowing how its gonna go down.

And dont give me the nonsense about "we dont have a choice because its the only NFL game available". Im as big of an NFL fan as anyone and I dont buy the game every year. Find something else to do with your time and money. If you continue to buy the game knowing how EA operates, keep your whiny rants to yourself. We've heard them before and they are pathetic every time.

And no, Im not saying you cant have a negative opinion about the game. EA deserves most of the heat they get. But going on ridiculous rants like some have made are beyond sad, especially when they are coming from people who should be blaming themselves for falling for the same crap every year.

It's pretty easy to rent the game and determine that it is awful - most of these opinions can be formed in the week of rental. I rented M7 and M11 and saw that they weren't worth buying right away.

M12 is the first Madden I have purchased since 2005 and while I love a ton of the new features, I wish I didn't have to spend 40 hours fixing each season to get a workable franchise season finished.

I swear other sports games are throwing patches out in a matter of days, if not hours. I've never understood what takes Madden and NCAA forever to get patches through.

It doesnt really bother me about the complaints, I do it every year too but I do get my enjoyment out of it from the situations I put myself in.

EA just has to put there heart back into madden and the cash will flow in from there just like its being done with Fifa12.

I just would like better communication on these topics form the devs if possible. I think we all know it gets us nowhere to rain on these guys parade every year.

Can't wait to get this patch, only thing I wish and hoped was looked into that can possibly be fixed with a tuner set or something is FS tackling stats, I noticed this was a issue the most tackles I am seeing from a FS in my dynasty is around 30 or so but in the NFL a FS and SS usually gets around 60 to 100+ tackles...small issue but would be nice to see corrected in a future patch or tuner.

Side note though out of all the recent sports games I have played NCAA 12, NBA 2K12 and Madden 12, Madden has had the least issues out the box, my main issue with madden was the weird out of sync commentary in which I hope is corrected in this patch coming up. If they can pull off this patch without breaking anything I believe this game wouldn't need another major patch to fix things.
