Yippee! Can't wait for the DLC to drop the first day and it lags so hard we can't even play HORSE. We're gonna be shooting bunnies and layups just to stay on the network.

This sounds cool. Could make for a nice diversion from the main game.

They are going after a hybrid NBA 2k and NBA Street type experience.

The ability to use the classics online is nice. Cue the inevitable "we can't use sliders online?!?!?" posts that will follow upon release.

One thing I really like is that they made this look much like NBA Street...beautiful. Volume 2 is still the best basketball game of ALL TIME on ANY platform, but that's just my lil opinion.

Sounds like a foul tip to me...

$10!?! Im more concerned about gameplay patching at the moment. Personally I think if I spend extra $ on this title, buying the pc version for $20 to get the current/historic and college mods out of it seems most logical. As fun the thought of playing Earl Watson vs Charlie Bell in HORSE is, I think thats what I'll do. The fact new legends/jerseys (Kevin Johnson) can only be used in that mode is disappointing as the reviewer said...and the whole playing in Times Square thing?!? Hope Dick Clark is in his prime for those games...why not have some other cool venues like an aircraft carrier, Moscow, or Mt***shmore? Surprised they didnt have WNBA 3 on 3! Alright I'll turn "sarcasm off"...im admittedly cranky today.

So they took away a feature of allowing us to move players around from legend teams in 2K11 and now we have to pay to do that this year?

That seems to be the essence of it, if I'm understanding it correctly. The idea of hiding such an ability behind a $10 charge leaves me a little bitter, unless this is their way of affording the naming rights of all the players included. I'm actually just kind of relieved such roster moves will be possible at some point.

In truth, I would have bought the DLC anyway. I just wish the ability to make transactions between current and classic teams wasn't withheld from the initial product. With the lockout, this ability would have been great to be able to get our hands on from the get-go.

Now I'm just curious as to when this content will drop. And strangely, even though I had totally acclimated to not having players like Rick Barry, Kevin Johnson, and Bob Petit in the retail version of 2K12, knowing they'll exist in the streetball mode sort of bums me out. Now knowing they exist somewhere, I'm wishing they could be used everywhere.
