Does the CPU ever take a knee?

Okay, this is the second time the CPU has been beating me with under 40 seconds on the clock and I had no time outs, yet the CPU wants to continue running the ball and risk a fumble when they could just take a knee. What's going on? Has the AI gotten more stupid over the years in Madden?

Yes they take a knee. Although they should do it more often.

There is a problem here for sure. They do but at times they do not when they oviously should. It has to be fixed.

I'd say they take a knee 1/2 of the time they should.

They also run a play sometimes when they don't need to. Its annoying when I put down the controller and wait for the time to run out (if there's like 30 seconds left) and then I have to grab it quickly cause the CPU decides to run another play.

This happened to me with a 7 point lead one time. There was like 1:30 left... I had no timeouts and of course assumed the CPU would knee off the clock.

To my susprise the CPU called a run play up the middle and then kneeled. Im not sure why any coach would risk that run play for no reason... on the super unlikely off-chance I might fumble recover-6.

This is a relatively minor issue IMO... cuz ve never seen the CPU do something as egregious as a hail-mary type pass in this situation.

What's so hilarious about this is that there was actually a time the CPU ran the ball on me instead of taking a knee and the RB fumbled the ball! I recovered it, but lost the game, anyway. But stupid and hilarious, nonetheless.

It seems like the CPU has to check off a million things before it will register, "Time for Victory Formation."
