1998-1999 FILE COMPLETE!!!

- base file: portlandblazer's 1997-1998 file
- file includes portlandblazer's reditor edits


Here's what the roster file includes:

- all 29 teams including 400 players included (of the 440 who played)
- regular teams used: bulls, celtics, clippers, heat, hornets, jazz, kings, lakers, knicks, magic, mavs, pacers, pistons, rockets, sonics, spurs, twolves, blazers, warriors, wizards
- created teams used(including PB's jersey and court edits): nets, bucks, nuggets, grizzlies, cavs, raptors, 76ers, hawks, suns


- every team's transactions 100% complete (post-trade deadline)
- all jersey numbers correct
- every player's age and year of experience 100% correct
- 100% accurate rotations based upon the real-life season
- players will reflect the 1998-1999 season / accurate ratings across the board
- TONS of hours put into this file!!

The Spurs won the the NBA championship, and you Bulls fans will now get to live in futility with your best player being Toni Kukoc (Jordan "retired" and Pippen was dealt to Houston... Rodman left but was eventually cut and didn't finish out with anyone).

16 teams 100% completed. Only ones left are the 9 created teams and then the 4 classic/ jordan teams (noted in post 1). i played 2 test games last night...WOW!!! Amazingly fun.

And to the Dirk fan above...just remember, he got off to a slow start in his rookie year. I played the Warriors (Jamison rookie) cpu at Dallas (Dirk rookie) me and Dirk was a struggle. I have him rated a 70 (don't freak out - it fits into the rating system). But Michael Finley is the man for the Mavs!!

I'm making great progress... I'm heading out to see the Cincinnati at South Florida football game with our boys today. I'll probably work a bit on this late tonight. Have church tomorrow but I'll get after this tomorrow night. I'm off on Monday so I should probably wrap up on Monday night. I'll then pass the file to portlandblazer and/or hokupguy and hopefully it won't take too long to get it posted once they fix the 76ers and also release the name language filter blocks (and whatever other tricks they have). I've spent a LOT of time looking at pictures from that season, trying to best reflect player models (for example, the "many faces of Scot Pollard" have him with short hair and long sideburns that season....Christian Laettner had short hair and a goatee - you'll get this). I also added 2 more players: Miles Simon to the Magic (he didn't play much, but was a 2nd round pick who stuck for his only season) and also overlooked Stanley Roberts - he played for the Rockets, though hardly during the regular season he did make their 12 man playoff roster). This file now includes 400 players...

I'll keep you posted...

1) let me finish the ratings... I'm moving through them very quickly. I also am updating all the rotations and minutes played.

2) If you work on the file, will it remove the rotations I'm doing?

3) Can I post the file in a .ROS format for you?

Thanks again, and let me know best how to proceed on this with you. I don't want to overlap or waste any work, so I can have it done (most likely) by Monday night and then you can have it to review and update anything you see fit. But this file is gonna be really good!!

Here's a great site for cards...click on the "zoom in" under each picture - very clear and large for many players. You can also dig around for different years...seems to be the most comprehensive place to go (I have the 99-00 one's in the link):

your rosters are the reason why i still have 2k11 spinning in my xbox 360... i think 2k11 is perfect... as long as you have the legends complete season rosters... thanks for all your work!!!
