WOW, Thanks Czar for helping me to enjoy the game more. I had no idea that this existed.

Re: NBA 2K12 Video - Strategy Session 8: Coach Profile Settings (Da_Czar)
it was.. for last year at least
I continually learn (and people shouldn't be ashamed to learn something not just in this game but in life) I don't think we ever should stop learning so it's always positive to say "wow thank you, i learned something"
[to be honest it wasn't until last year I knew what the numbers meant on plays.. ie: 43screen 35over, etc]
btw, there's even more defensive settings in there this year too such as SCREEN and HEDGEComment

Re: NBA 2K12 Video - Strategy Session 8: Coach Profile Settings (Da_Czar)
That is a lie. It was not only for post players. It was for all players on the court. I am still playing 2K11 and I always adjust defensenive settings each game. Denying the ball vs. shooters isn't anything new.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12 Video - Strategy Session 8: Coach Profile Settings (Da_Czar)
thanks Czar….I am loving the insight, and the way you are shooting down those pointless complaints…priceless stuff!!! I will say and I'm sure some people will have a different opinion which is fine,(freedom of choice) but when I look at the effort that Czar is putting into answering alot of the valid complaints about gameplay difficulties, it almost makes me wonder why 2K Devs didn't make any video's or tutorials to explain alot of these features as they relate to how we play the game.
(training camp is very appreciated, but these videos are making the difference between confusion and comprehension) the way Czar is dis-secting this game you would think he developed it ..lol im just saying……

Re: NBA 2K12 Video - Strategy Session 8: Coach Profile Settings (Da_Czar)
Thanks Czar for this video. I've been saying this about making adjustments befor the game was even released but some just chose to say the game/Defense was broken and some are still singing that song.
Again, thank you for the detailed breakdown.

I am sorry but it was just an inaccurate statement. Obviously inaccurate. And for someone else to co-sign it makes it even more upsetting.

Re: NBA 2K12 Video - Strategy Session 8: Coach Profile Settings (Da_Czar)
this is great news. so if I adjust every coaches settings will it change the overall play of that team if controlled by the cpu, will they still double/deny etc. or will they play like default jus w/ out guys running away from their man?
should i set all to 0, and let me or the cpu controlled team change settings when needed? will that happen?
would'nt that change that teams default defense? he wasnt controling the players ,he was in coaches mode. for those that have used this tip how did the cpu act?
i dont like touching sliders cuz if i win i feel like i only won cuz i changed the sliders. feels weird changing all coaches settings.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12 Video - Strategy Session 8: Coach Profile Settings (Da_Czar)
Like others have said Great Video, I love watching anything you put out because you invest the time and backup what you present to us.
I'm with other and I really think 2k needs to evaluate how they package their next game. They need to have tutorial videos or more explanations for the depth that they put in their game. It will only benefit them. It would help resolve a few of the outcries of this being broken or that being broken. I really enjoy 2k12 but please 2k give us more insight into your game, the more I learn the more I appreciate and enjoy the game more.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12 Video - Strategy Session 8: Coach Profile Settings (Da_Czar)
I agree, somewhat. The primary issues with these settings are still in fact big deals, though. Sometimes, despite your input, it appears as though assignments get ignored, but in all honesty it isn't that often, and that does mimic a real game because despite how good people are, they mess up. The main issue is that it doesn't prevent the cpu from playing terrible/amazing defense.
In this game defenders are outstanding. They react to your input immediately, which is lame. You go left, they are going left the very millisecond your input on your controller says go left. If you use a crossover or turbo it triggers super awesome defense, which triggers some terrible canimation. I can live with that. I accept that, no matter how lame it is. The byproduct of that is the help defenders react as quickly, and are lightning fast. Aside from that being lame, it still makes them play amazing on ball defense (perfect in fact) but they always leave a person wide stinking open, so the game is pretty much just guys shooting open jump shots, or getting shoulder checked by amazing defenders. This, I think is terrible.
We need a way for the cpu defenders to not always double random people arbitrarily, or anyone who goes near the paint, with or without the ball. You'd think defenders that can mimic your every move the second you do it would be clever enough to not leave Ray freakin' Allen open for 13 open 3's. You'd think...Comment
