Missouri/Texas 4OT was a classic, but it cost the Tigers
It is a game that will go down in history, a 23-20 4OT battle that went the way of the #1 Missouri Tigers as they staved off the upset craving 1-2 Texas Longhorns.
Unfortunately for the Tigers their close victory and showing signs of weakness cost them as #2 Oregon rolled Colorado State University 41-10 and took the top spot in the Coaches poll. Meanwhile #3 Auburn moved up also, leaping the Tigers thanks to a 44-14 beat down of Vanderbilt.
The Harris poll did not quite agree, as the Auburn Tigers leaped from #3 to #1, and the Missouri Tigers slipped to #2 (1597 points to 1579).
Penn State went from #2 to #3, and Oregon stayed solid at #4.

#18 Michigan State 33 sacked J. Rudock for a safety with 11 seconds for a 33-31 victory over #4 Iowa. Michigan State led 30-0 at the half.
Maryland stayed undefeated with a 36-22 victory over Virginia Tech
