On the Rainy Tundra - Seattle Seahawks Dynasty

Hi all thanks for coming by and taking the time and reading my first ever franchise mode. For my first time I decided on taking the Seattle Seahawks. Not really a specific reason, more just because I've never played as them before in a madden franchise mode.

    Seattle Seahawks

    - Salary Cap On
    - Skill: All-Pro
    Quarter Length: 10 Minutes
    - Draft: NCAA Imports (Played and Simmed Through the season will be updated)

    Rules
I decided to try to implement a couple rules to make it a little harder. I noticed in previous editions I could just go through and sign top Free Agents, and Trade up in the draft win multiple championships, so decided to make a couple rules.

    1. Can only make two trades per season (1 Season = Preseason - Draft)
    2. Can only sign 3 80+ overall players
    3. Can only cut two players per season (unless to get under the cap)

                  Introduction

                  Seattle, WA (AP) -

Word came today that owner Paul Allen has decided it was time to make a change at the General Manager spot and moving on from John Schneider. Who just took the Seahawks to the playoffs and a upset win against the defending champions with the New Orleans Saints. Last year it was writing on the wall that when Allen hired Pete Carroll before announcing John Schneider has GM, which caused some concern.

Many believe that the 7-9-0 record last season, and a draft that has been somewhat mixed reviews, has caused the head to role on John Schneider. Instead comes in another rookie GM in Neal Burke. Burke comes from the Midwest who has been with the Indianapolis Colts organization for a few years now, and has been vying for past general manager jobs in the past.

Burke has work ahead of him coming into the season, and with no really direction in set where will Burke take the Seahawks. Only time will tell.

                        Game Notes
First game of the season is a big divisional match-up in the NFC West when Seattle heads to San Fransisco. Both teams will be missing key pieces with Iupati (SF), Alan Branch (SEA), and Sidney Rice (SEA) will be out due to injuries.

San Fransisco coming off a bad 2010 campaign and have made sweeping changes by bringing in new head coach Jim Harbaugh from Stanford in hopes of turning around a franchise that has mediocre since Steve Young was taking the field. The 49'ers brought in Braylon Edwards this off season in hopes of jumping their passing attack. Last years team saw one glaring weakness which was rushing the passer on defense, and with using their first round draft pick DE/LOLB Aldon Smith will put some fear in some QB's eyes.

Seattle also has had some changes this past off season specially on offense. With spending a lot their resources on having a overhaul on the offensive line which was much needed. They brought in Tavaris Jackson to go under center, and brought in a big time receiver in Sidney Rice who will not play today because of his Torn Hamstring suffered in the preseason.
