I Love The Cell-Shade Look. Remember NBA Street Was A Good Game In Many Ways. This Could Be A Game Of its Own Juss Like Live And Steet was selling at the same time. Ofcourse the Street Aspect would Have to Be Enhanced With More Outdoor Playing Venues, unlimited amount of customization of our players from head to toe, and ofcourse street moves, over-the-top big dunks, plus an ONLINE that is respectable. But I like What i See.. Take it 2 Da Next Step..

I think this add-on in general is pretty dumb but I might get it just for the fact that it has Shawn Bradley... Oh the dunks I am going to throw on him...Comment

Re: NBA 2K12 DLC Arrives This Holiday Season with 45 All-New Legends - Screens & Teas
I think there'll be a ton of anger from the non-casual sim franchise stat roster players to be brutally honest
a lot of people right now haven't even noticed this is ONLINE only
so let's say someone who gets off on making nothing but roster edits and publishing it, will buy this dlc, find they cannot copy/edit the Legends' (ie: Shawn Bradley)'s DNA to replicate it for their rosters and boom
HULK SMASH!
.....but yeah, this will be a hit for the casual game-and-go crowd, bigtime hit tbhComment

Re: NBA 2K12 DLC Arrives This Holiday Season with 45 All-New Legends - Screens & Teas
I'm really not buying that this is something extra. Looks like something that was planned very early in an attempt to get more money...
For one, they could have put all of these legends in the game to begin with like someone pointed out.
Secondly, they took out some modes from 2k11's street mode and they are not presently in 2k12 BUT they are in the DLC. Wtf?
Not a fan of the cell shading, looks out of place...Comment

Re: NBA 2K12 DLC Arrives This Holiday Season with 45 All-New Legends - Screens & Teas
you're seeing things thru an angry perspective and pretty much set on the notion that 2k messed upOriginally posted by J.R._RiderMaybe taking on the brunt of that anger won't be such a bad thing for 2k. Maybe they can learn something from it. Of course, that'll mean that the anger will have to be channeled productively, but I don't think that will be a huge problem. 2k seems to have a pretty damn good filter.
Looking at this thread, what are people saying?
"I wish we could use these players in the regular game."
"They finally got a bunch of jersey's that people have been begging for for years now in the game, and we can't use them..."
"This is dumb. I have no desire to play NBA Street. Why can't we use these guys in the regular game?"
"I'm not paying 10 bucks just so I can have some modes and options available to me that were in last years retail version."
Just looking at this thread, and the other thread that announced this DLC, and it's pretty much a consensus that this at best doesn't do much for anyone. In fact, it's having an opposite affect from the intended one with some people. I was talking to a couple of friends of mine, and when the topic of this DLC came up, both of them decided to just say "screw it" and go back to 2k11 (One of them already has, and he insists that it was the best gaming decision he's made in the last five years.)
I understand that this is just a forum, a relatively small sample size of the overall market to 2k. But here's the thing; this forum, and forums like it, represent 2k's base. And, as any politician will tell you, you never alienate your base. In fact, you normally go out of your way to appease them. That hasn't happened here. So while casual gamers may love this new game mode and everything else that comes with the DLC, 2k is still going to have to deal with hearing constant complaints about it for the next year from their most important fans. Not fun.
Releasing a DLC package that allowed us to use all of these legends and have all of these jersey's in the actual game would have made both casual gamers and the 2k series die-hards very happy. This package doesn't do that.
It doesn't happen often, but 2k might have really dropped the ball on this one. Hopefully they can take it as a learning experience, so that next time they can give the fans what they really want... Even if it is another year and another $60 + away...
to be honest, i see things otherwise, sales/buzz/hype/everything shows that 2k12 is doing better than 2k11 and is almost a guarantee to surpass it in pure sales numbers right now
this DLC is almost a guaranteed hit because they're not releasing it to the hardcore-franchise-simulation-roster players
it's a *CASUAL* game online, aka it's made for the masses, those people who want to just log on and get a game going will get their fix here
I think it will be an incredibly huge hit. My post is all about anticipating the people offline who will get this dlc and then see that it's for online play and the players cannot be edited/etc will undoubtedly get upset
but in terms of mass appeal, it'll be incredibly huge.. nevermind all the legends being showcased or the extra game modes or anything else..
just the appeal of taking your player (My Player) and playing as him against the Legends almost guarantees this will be another hit for 2KComment

So what's the best course of action to be sure 2k knows what we want? Online petition?Originally posted by J.R._RiderMaybe taking on the brunt of that anger won't be such a bad thing for 2k. I think you all underestimate the amount of people who will be buying this just for the chance to take their My Player online to dunk on Shawn Bradley!
this tbh, is a casual gamer's dream come true, i'm a COACH MODE player so I can't get into this but I definitely see the $$ potential in this
it's gonna be huge tbhComment
