you're seeing things thru an angry perspective and pretty much set on the notion that 2k messed up

to be honest, i see things otherwise, sales/buzz/hype/everything shows that 2k12 is doing better than 2k11 and is almost a guarantee to surpass it in pure sales numbers right now

this DLC is almost a guaranteed hit because they're not releasing it to the hardcore-franchise-simulation-roster players

it's a *CASUAL* game online, aka it's made for the masses, those people who want to just log on and get a game going will get their fix here

I think it will be an incredibly huge hit. My post is all about anticipating the people offline who will get this dlc and then see that it's for online play and the players cannot be edited/etc will undoubtedly get upset

but in terms of mass appeal, it'll be incredibly huge.. nevermind all the legends being showcased or the extra game modes or anything else..

just the appeal of taking your player (My Player) and playing as him against the Legends almost guarantees this will be another hit for 2K

Where does it say that this is an online mode, aside from playing with the Legend's teams in online quick matches?

Way too many people in this thread are complaining that so in so legend isn't on the list or that some guy isn't a "legend". Signing these players come at a cost. Some like Shawn Bradley likely were very cheap to sign. Others like Barkley we know want alot of money. I don't think 2K headquarters went, well we could have Shawn Bradley or Charles Barkley, lets do Bradley instead.

2K like everyone else is under a budget they did their best to get as many name guys as they could with that budget. Maybe instead of bitching that AI, Barkley or Iverson isn't in the game, be happy we have so many former fantastic players and teams available to play with.

Most people know this about 2k dk. People have the choice to use or not use the legends they disagree with. I'm just saying why spend money on some of those choices at all unless they were part of a classic team? If we can't use those legends to make our own classic teams than what's the point of them?

If only they were available to play with in the real game... but still big WOW, great players there...

Playing with the great 80's SF's (the best era regarding that position) like English, Kiki, King, Dantley, etc., and the ones already in the game like Bird, Worthy, Nance and Aguirre, will be crazy. Then you got other amazing players there like David Thompson, Rick Barry, Gilmore, Thurmond, Reggie Lewis, Tiny, Dale Ellis, Fat Lever, McAdoo, Cowens, Hayes, Pettit, Sikma... and also some real characters like Shawn Bradley, Muresan...

Must say I'm impressed but like I've said, would be cool to see them in the real game.

you know what's really hilarious is that we're all making fun of Shawn Bradley and Muresan..

you know, you just know that someone out there will spend all of his waking moments mastering those two becoming a master of their games and then you'll be seeing people cry and complain and threads come up

The super naive and optimistic part of me is thinking/hoping/wishing the legends and jerseys included in this mode will eventually be unlockable in the main game. Reality says that's terribly unlikely. I hang onto the slimmest of hopes though, since at least the ability to trade legends has seemed to come to fruition.

Oh for sure. I was being real though. I honestly think Muresan is an awesome addition. I don't know the details of the 3-on-3 mode and how teams will work, but I think Muresan, Bradley and Mark Eaton could probably figure into things quite nicely. I'm guessing their ability to make an impact in a mode like this is the biggest reason for their specific inclusion.
