(NFLHC09) Coaching Career of Paul Jordan

Dolphins hire Jordan to HC position, not Sparano
MIAMI, FL: All the news out of Miami today is that the team has decided to back out on naming former Dallas assistant Tony Sparano the team's next head coach, and instead name a younger coach, Paul Jordan. He was formerly known for his offensive work as an assistant with the Patriots and will be the next in the line of the Patriots coaches to move on to a head coaching role. In a press conference with the media, he said that he will be helping as the assistant GM as well, and will help draft, sign, and trade. He stated that he understands the challenge of taking over a team like Miami, but he hinted that he has some plans laid out to rebuild the team. We will see if he can do it successfully.

    My philosophies and such:
    Personality: Super Star
Offensive playbook: Modified Patriots (no I-Form, counters, screens and Shotgun and Empty added)
    Defensive playbook: Tampa Cover 2
Skills and special skills: Will be added later
    Team: Dolphins (for now)
    Start point: Offseason

Thanks! I'm kinda new to writing chises, I just love HC and I wanted to do one! 2 things:
      1. Also, you can check out my Madden 12 Eagles chise if you want.
      2. I may be doing "press conferences" and such and would love to have people act like reporters and give some questions for me!

Re: (NFLHC09) Coaching Career of Paul Jordan

For those who are waiting for an update, it will come tomorrow as I will have A LOT of time. Should be able to get through FA and Draft. While we are at it though, I will discuss my team needs and what I would like to do.

        Needs:
QB: Wanting to draft one. Between J. Johnson San Diego, A. Woodson Kentucky, or A. Brink Washington State.
WR: Need two. Leaning torward the veteran route by signing I. Bruce and trading for SEA's N. Burleson, then getting the English path and drafting Bellows
TE: Probably goes unaddressed this year, though if M. Peterson goes undrafted he may be on my wishlist
LT: Flozell Adams in FA. If he gets tagged, then probably goes unaddressed
LG: Faneca or Stacy Andrews in FA.
RG: Jake Scott or Ben Noll
RT: Jordan Gross. If he gets franchised, then its David Stewart from RFA IF he isn't a 1st rd tender
LE: D. Harvey in Draft if I can get him, but probably unaddressed
DT: D. Moore in draft, any 75+ in trade, and any 75+ unsigned FA are my priorities
MLB: A. Ayodele in trade from DAL
CB: Ty Law will probably be picked up post draft, but will need more. Possibly Juran Riley next year?
FS: Only if Jason Allen doesn't fit in my scheme; if he doesnt I will sign Hamlin
SS: Either Darius in FA or wait for Barkley
K: Maybe J. Elam will be picked up to trade (PHI gave me a 2nd rd once)
P: Mitch Berger will be picked up and will try to use Fields as tradebait.
I know this is a long list, but these are just my plans to address my needs

I would avoid Brink. He has high potential, but it will take forever for him to develop properly. Woodson and Johnson are good QBs though if developed properly.

As far as LT, I suggest you trade for the 49ers LT Joe Staley, then trade down from 1-1 for depth. The Dolphins have multiple holes they need to fill.

rdnk - Thanks for the suggestion. Would it be better if I waited for Jake Scott (I plan on getting the English path)?

mrs844224 - I'll try that, thanks for the suggestion. Usually, like I said, I sign Flozell Adams, but I'll try trading for Staley this time

                      No problem.

As for Jake Scott, it depends on what system you try to run. If you want a mobile QB, Josh Johnson would be your best bet. However, with the Pats book, I think Scott would be the best of the three (assuming Woodson and Johnson are the other two).
