Re: NBA 2K12 DLC Arrives This Holiday Season with 45 All-New Legends - Screens & Teas
Cons:
-cell shaded graphics. i dont want NBA street.
-cant bring these guys into other areas of the game
-the "99% miami heat online" theory was simply not true meaning separating the legends into classic quick match was pointless.
-this whole thing smells like a preplanned lockout moneygrab which wouldve worked if you didnt put all these restrictions and cell shading on the legends.
ill be waiting for the Patch releases and Xbox360 virgin gaming tourney and NBA2k.com but u can have this garbage.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12 DLC Arrives This Holiday Season with 45 All-New Legends - Screens & Teas
I wish a Dev or someone from 2K would chime in and clear this up. I thought when this was originally announced that part of the DLC would be the ability to edit the legend teams, add players to the teams and add the new legend players to anyteam we want and play with them in offline quick games, association games. If this is not part of the DLC then this is a no buy for me. I've supported and bought 2K products for years, but why would they offer a DLC and tease us with the idea of adding more legend players to teams and having total control of the legend teams, but not giving us the option to do this. Im really hoping this is part of the DLC... if not I can't support this DLC.
Another key point that was mentioned, was the roster sharing between current and classic teams, allowing you to place legends on current teams and take them into Association.
What this means is, if you purchase the DLC you can trade or assign the players on the classic teams that came in the retail version to current teams and vice versa(current players to classic teams). What you cannot do is take the players from the DLC and add them to the rosters on the retail game.
For example, with the DLC you will be able to Lebron on the 96 Bulls if you want or take Magic and place him on the current Lakers. But you cannot take the Kevin Johnson on the DLC and place him on the current Suns(or any team for that matter) is only available to use in the modes that are part of the DLC.Last edited by qpc123; 11-04-2011, 02:25 PM."You come at the King, you best not miss..."Comment

I was a life long 2k fan but these all the questionable things they have done this year made me lose some respect for them and more so for the lack of pc loveComment

Re: NBA 2K12 DLC Arrives This Holiday Season with 45 All-New Legends - Screens & Teas
Lets go over this DLC
1) Stupid looking cel shaded
2) "New" Features (Blacktop modes, and roster switching with current/past, legends online) that would have taken no effort to put in the retail game but since alot of people wanted it they know they can sell it for alot of money.
3) New "legends" (George Muresan, Jalen Rose..... really?)
No thanks 2KComment

Interesting thing on Eaton was he was a very late comer to hoops and didn't even contibute at UCLA. I remember some stat that he only played around 40 minutes total his last year at UCLA. Not because of injury, he just wasn't very good.Gamertag and PSN Mrclutch1013

Oh God... I hadn't seen the cel-shading before today. That looks awful. If you can't turn off this feature, then I predict a big, fat, steaming pile of fail.Comment

So now we can attempt to do this for the first time since Lakers vs Celtics

BTW, Eaton>>>>>>>Bradley and Muresan. Eaton's skill was he was a shot blocker and defensive force. Bradley's skill was he knew how to fall properly without injuring himself after getting dunked on. Muresan was a glorified circus side show act with a face that looked like a melted candle.Comment

One of the big things I've always remembered about Gheorghe Muresan came from a Sports Illustrated article I read about him wayyy back in the day. I kept the issue for the longest time (with Mo Vaughn on the front). There's a picture of Muresan holding a coke can between his pointer finger and thumb, the way we might hold a wallet-sized senior picture. Amazing.
It's on page 108/109 of the link below (the article has "GIANT" written recognizably large in the thumbnails):
P.S. Comparing Muresan's face to that of a melted candle is genius.Last edited by VDusen04; 11-04-2011, 07:49 PM.Comment

11 pages of around 80% negative comments.......maybe 2k should take a look at the response
and on top of that, how many people analyzed all the "legends" in the game?? is it just me or are most of these players guys from 50/60s, 70s, 80s and 90s East and West squads that 2k10,2k9,2k8,etc. had???? Mikan, Thompson, English, etc. were on those teams, so were Nique, Magic, Bird, Pip, etc. Yes i know they got Jordan and Jabbar, but still.....<<<(slightly off topic but had to be said)Comment

If I'm buying this its only for the classic quick match which is a fantastic addition (should be in the retail though).“If you meet the Buddha in the lane, feed him the ball.”-Phil Jackson
