i'm done with this series. not playing another football game until 2k is in the title. My score for Madden 13: 4.5/10
3 points for graphics, 1 point for the passable commentary, and a half point for the boxart. I can give no further points since the all over the place gameplay would ruin it anyway. -
Hey, at least the crowds and grass are 3D now! lolEven for me the offline dynasty has gotten dull and boring for a few years now. Its always the same thing year after year. There is not much life before the game. Just get the top stories, a few things about the top ten teams but rarely ever talks about rising teams.
Wont bring back the fcs teams to make bringing up sub par teams to the elite teams. Or updating rosters to be at 85 instead of 70 as it has for years when it should be a full roster.
Same gameplay problems its had for years and continue to bandage over. Presentation thats pitiful and stadium noise that you cant tell whether its a big or small stadium. Note that this is stuff year after year they claimed to have fixed.Comment

Considering football is the most popular sport going, it's pretty shocking that there is only one developer making games, while baseball and basketball have multiple to choose from. I really hope another company steps forward in the next few years and puts EA out of business. Either that or the next-gen of consoles is released and gameplay becomes a lot better and more realistic.Comment

Only fix I found for this was to get a brand new gamertag which is a pain in the butt! however, it did fix it.This is hilarious.
So, I download this patch on the 8th and I'm still getting the TF when I try to do anything with Online Dynasty. So, I deleted my entire game save of NCAA '12 (the fact I thought doing this this would be a fix shows EA Tiburon's failure with this game), downloaded the Online Pass and started up the game.
Then I downloaded the patch and went into OD. I can actually get into Online Dynasty now! I get excited, go into recruiting and add some people, talk, and guess what - I back out to save, and, bang. Online Dynasty is currently unavailable. I can actually get pasted validating the roster now when I create one, but when I get to uploading the dynasty file I get TF.Comment

This is why I don't blame the developers. I blame the upper management that is making executive decisions. Tiburon needs to allocate resources to architect and create a new code base. As a java developer, from personal experience, I can tell you that it is a pain in the arse to "fix" code or implement new features to a code base that is out dated. 10 years ago is a very long time in terms of software development ages. The software development community has created more efficient ways to architect a code base. For starters, compartmentalize your code...in other words, use the object oriented principles and features (I imagine the code is written using C++ ?). When fixing a defect or implementing a new feature, the code change should not break another feature in the code. This happens when the code base in integrated to much. After reading every one's view about the game and the way it has turned out this year, I too believe that the developers need to re-develop the coding of the game. If it is as old as a lot of you are saying it is, then it definitely needs to change. Maybe if they took a year off to write better code for NCAA and develop the game fully then they could create an NCAA that would blow every other NCAA out of the water. However, with that being said, EA will not do this because it's all about $$$. For the developers its more about the game and how they want it to turn out, but if they are being pushed by the corporate leaders to just "make" the game and just send it out as is, regardless of flaws and bugs, and use customers as testers, then the game itself will never be the way we want it to be. I honestly feel like that is what is going on here. I feel like if EA would give the guys to make a good, solid NCAA game then it could be done. But the guys making the game might not how to advance it any further, so in that case changes need to be made. I honestly believe the NCAA team needs a need leader that can communicate with the public, bring new ideas to the table, and execute those ideas. The current person in that position isn't doing that (that's apparent from even watching the "Making of NCAA '12" on ESPNU. Just my two cents.
The main objective of a company is to make money. They are doing that right now with this crap they are putting out there. I just don't see EA putting aside valuable resources to work on a new code base.Comment

Did you change your gamertag before or after the patch? I tried it before this patch couple of months ago and it didn't work for me.Comment
