Yup, there's a couple threads about this very issue. It seems we mirror the CPU and vice versa.

Re: Does anyone else notice the field goals user vs cpu are similiar like all the tim

This reproducability is actually a problem with all sports games. Computers make things to predictable and their models aren't chaotic enough to recreate off nights. I personally think 2K, EA, etc... should allow you an optional "suck/awesome feature", where at the start of a game the human and CPU recieve a random boost/penalty to their play stats for one game ranging from 5-15%. For a more involved system this could apply to every individual player not a team as a whole, but it would have to ensure that it didn't balance out with the same stats (i.e. a team can really suck, or be really great on a single night).

I would love to see this now. What I have tried and seems to help is to change player consistency slider to 0. All of a sudden some players can't hit a shot in a game and others can't seem to miss. I have had games fluctuate with the same teams by 10% on shooting. Give it a try and see. Then consider cutting back the slider (say 20-30) to see how much chaos you like.Comment

Then you'd have to try using slider sets. The game, by default, is not very defensive minded at all. Jump shots fall more than layups on default. Defensive rotations are imperfect. You have no way of stopping your CPU opponent's onslaught without defense!

Also, test on 3-5 minute games. I got the perfect settings (for me) by playing a lot of those.Last edited by bfrombleacher; 11-13-2011, 12:20 AM.Comment

sliders? i tried that as well has clutch factor off nd set to 0, then i played a game heat vs cavs at home, went into 4th with 25 lead...on hof btw, start of 4th i went 1-13, comp went 17/18, fadaways shots 18th ft away, last secon contested 3s went in etc etc by end of game i won despite the michal jordans phase, and fgmakes,fg attempts was almost identicalComment
