Why dont the NBA 2k12 graphics look great on my TV?

It looks nothing like the videos I see on Youtube.

The players have jagged edges and its just not crisp at all. Looks more like NBA 2k9 or 10 graphics to be honest.

    I have a ps3 with a Full HD LG 1080p television.

Is it the TV settings or some settings on the ps3?

I really wanna get this fixed cos im missing out on amazing realism and i want to get the full experience of this game.

    Please help.

LG televisions are not the best choices for gaming- even with 1080p. I would recommend Samsung, Sony, or Toshiba in that order. In the meantime, I would put the game on coach mode and fiddle around with the television display settings- while the game is in action. Afterwards, you can save the best setup for your game.

It should look good on any HD TV on PS3 or 360. You must have some settings off or something. Your task is to figure out what you are doing wrong. May the Force be with you.
It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

What kind of settings do you guys fiddle with to get your picture looking just right for 2K12? When I hook 2K12 up to my family's HD, it seems to look pretty legit (if I remember correctly). However, hooking up to a friend's HD this past week, I noticed all the jaggies the original poster was talking about (on 360). As someone who doesn't have a lot of HD experience, I was curious how you guys tackle this issue.

Truthfully, I've always enjoyed playing 2K on standard TV rather than HD, just because it plays and feels correctly right out of the box. I don't have to mess with ratios, video game modes, and delayed controller feedback.

IGN did a little video for this a couple of years ago. You can still find something like it--google or youtube "optimal PS3 settings" or something close to it and that should help you out.

Rated Type R is right--Sony is probably the best known brand, but Samsung is really the best when it comes to HD tv video and gaming.

Could it be you are sitting to close?
Are you using a HDMI cable?

*Make sure your console is set for optimum performance First.

Then go on avsforums or highdefjunkies and look for some setting suggestions. But take note the gameplay itself is not that pleasing. I find the game looks better in replay mode, cut scenes, and the menu formats.
-This coming from a calibrated top of the line plasma, so you know the game has limitations.

The game looks sick during replays. Also, to be fair, certain camera angles certainly do increase visual aesthetics.
